Russian/Ukrainian combo
Firstly, I have SwiftKey Beta.
A friend of mine has the original app, and I noticed he had a joint Russian/Ukrainian layout under the Russian language, but I don't. Is there a way of getting it in my app or somehow exporting my prediction database to the regular app?
Ideally, I would like Russian and Ukrainian to be joined, like it is done for English and German, for example. I still need predictions for both languages.
To switch the language layout, please go to SwiftKey settings > languages > find the language you want to change layout > tap on it > choose the layout and test it.
Note: two same layouts of two different languages will joint. For example, default English (US) is QWERTY, and default French (FR) is AZERTY, but if I choose QWERTY in French, then I can have one keyboard and one layout to predict two languages. You'll see on the space bar, it now marks "EN/FR".
I don't understand "exporting my prediction database to the regular app". Can you specify it a bit more?
Thanks Alpert, but I do not have the option I need available in the layouts. I only have Russian, Russian (Compact), and Russian (Phonetic).
I suspect it is because my app is SwiftKey Beta, not just SwiftKey. I assumed I would have the newest developments at the expense of occasional bugs, but it seems that Beta is actually way behind.
So now I am looking for a way to switch back from SwiftKey Beta to Swiftkey without losing all the data that I have now, such as the words I added to the dictionaries.
For my knowledge, the beta version of SwiftKey and stock SwiftKey has no difference in language layout unless we marked it in changelog.
If you use the same SwiftKey account, you can switch between beta and stock whenever you want without data lose. But do force a backup before delete.
