Due to a problem with the latest version, I need an older version of Swiftkey, probably 22.214.171.124. Where can I find this? Searched the web and only found junk.
it's unbelievable its more than a month that your app have problem with sync !! but you do not any action to fix this sh-ity problem
what should we do ? is your project is dead ? just replace with other app or what ?
I really like Swiftkey, its awesome for two of my spoken languages, Swedish and English but really bad for my third spoken language, Chinese (manadarin).
Not only does the Chinese input for swiftkey not learn the phrases I commonly use, it also constantly gets what I am writing wrong. Chinese is most commonly written phonetically with a system called "pinyin" where you use a normal 26 keyboard to write how a word is pronounced, then you chose the correct character (word) for that pronunciation. Chinese is special in the sense that it can have a lot more then one character (word) for one pronunciation. What swiftkey does wrong is that it not only is not able to guess what character I want to write according to the context as all other Chinese inputs do, like the default windows Chinese input etc, it sometimes does not even chose characters for the pronunciation I've written!
For example, I can write the pronunciation "yu" and get a list of characters pronounced "yi", or write "jian" and get characters pronounced "yuan" etc. This is extremely frustrating and writing something that might take seconds with other input methods can take minutes with Swiftkey as it takes forever to sit and chose among 100s of characters with the pronunciation I did not write. Its like if you would write the English word "doctor" spelled correctly and then the first choice on the list is dictator, then proctor, then drought and then you have sit and scroll down a list until you finally find "doctor".
I have been using swiftkey for more than a year and there has been exactly 0 improvements with the Chinese input. From a market standpoint I really cant see why you would not put any effort in improving the input for a language that is spoken by 25% of the world population, while the Swedish input (a language that is spoken by about 0.1% of the population) is working perfectly. Not that I complain about the Swedish input working well, I just really dont understand how you prioritize.
Please fix this asap, its LONG overdue.
Since a recent update there is a problem typing in Swedish on a normal (English) qwerty layout. Typing words starting with the Swedish letters åäö causes the Swedish words to be put on the left or right suggestion boxes, never in the middle. Even for very common words like är (is). This is causing a major problem. Before it wouldn't down prioritize Swedish words like this when using an English qwerty layout. This all regards sentences where the word in question appears somewhere after the first word.
If I however begin a sentence with a word described above, things work as before (Swedish words appear in the middle prediction box) which is absolutely illogical and inconsistent.
Every time I re-install swiftkey on same device or install to a new android device my predicted words dissapeared! Even Backup/restore was ON on previous device and on the new device also, triggered sync many times on both devices!
This happened the second time for me between different devices, word backup never worked. What the cloud backup is for then? What is the purpose?
Before you say I turned off backup, my data exists in the cloud at data.swiftkey.com, but does not synced to any of new devices:
1.user dictionary sync problem
2.automatic learning problem
3.we can't use google in China
I don't have an option for Siri Dictation on SwiftKey for iPad. I have one on my iPhone. Any way to get this work on iPad?
Listen, I know. Long story short, got Swiftkey on my old phone for years, now I have a new phone and yeah, it won't sync. After hours of research, I found out why... According to Wikipedia...
"In 2016 SwiftKey users began reporting personal details given by SwiftKey as suggested words to other users whom does not have previous connections, other issue includes foreign language and obscene words. SwiftKey responded by disabling cloud sync for word suggestions and released an update to mitigate the issue."
I think this is why. Practically, Swiftkey is now peer-pressured. I think they don't want that issue to happen again, so that's why they don't solve the prediction problem, because that problem solved a previous issue and they don't want such issues to happen again.
Let's hope that they let it return... someday...
Hi team, I've checked out the other forum posts, and none of them have helped me solve my issue. I also reached out a couple times via the contact-us link you've got but to no avail.
When trying to log in on my new phone, it looks like the login is successful but I receive a "SwiftKey Account authentication failure!" error and am not able to access any of my old data/themes.
This is a real shame as I have truly enjoyed this product for years and now I can't log in at all or even create a new account so I can download themes.
Any further advice here would be greatly appreciated!
It would be nice to be able to select a darker keyboard theme that Swiftkey automatically switches to with the Android 10 System Dark theme.
As stated in the title, I can't find the personalization settings. When I go to accounts, there is only "your account", "account services", and "account data". There are no options for me to add accounts such as twitter, facebook, gmail, etc for SwiftKey to learn from. There are only SwiftKey account options.
New Mate 20 Pro handset, trying sync/download saved words etc to new device - Logged in with google account and it tells me it has sync'd, but none of my saved words or stats are available on the new device - I don;t appear to be the only one with this issue - can you advise please?
