When I attempt to insert a GIF in a text message from the SwiftKey keyboard, it only inserts a URL to the GIF, not the GIF. This started happening after the latest big update (couple days now).
Upgraded 2 Moto Z2 Force phones to Android 9 Pie and only predictions are visible. Keyboard not visible. Can type, but cannot see the keys to know which letter to select. Have tried changing settings in Swiftkey with no luck. Please help.
Looked all over but can't find any info on how to turn off the paste feature. Every time I copy some text, Swiftkey offers to paste it via one of the slots in the prediction bar.
How can I turn this feature off?
I already have Clipboard turned off in settings but this doesn't stop this annoyance.
Cambiar a letra cursiva en varía versiones
My predictions and saved words are not transferred to my new phone and the saved words don't show up in predictions.
I have synced both phones and I have tried uninstalling swiftkey beta and reinstalling it.
I can see the words are saved when I view my data on the swiftkey website.
When I type "god" the primary prediction is "God" but 99% of the time I am not evoking the Christian god, I am not using the word as a proper noun. I've deleted this prediction dozens and dozens of times but it's always the primary prediction, and though it does show "god" on the left prediction it means I have to press it to get it to say what I want when I should just be able to hit space and move on. Is there a fix for this?
Whenever I am swiping and I need to use the letter 'a', the word ends and it starts over. As u can imagine, this is very aggravating becuz obviously we all use a, a lot, it only happens when I'm swiping, also another thing, it always gives me wrong words, even when I am precise on my swiping... It just took me 10 mins to write this post!!!!
I must not swipe "the" correctly alot of the time because it keeps putting in words that I've never heard of instead. I press and hold as to delete and never predict again but it just gives me a new crazy word instead. Is there some way that I can teach it that I'm most likely swiping the word "the"?
SwiftKey beta version used to be incredibly good but something has happened to the algorithm, around 2017. it is doing all sorts of very strange things, for example
1/ if the second letter of your typing is incorrect it will still try to accept that nonsense word even though the rest of the letters in the word are typed correctly and the only incorrectly typed letter is the one right next to the correct letter.
2/ Once you choose to NOT to predict a word like "adk" again it should automatically change the suggested words and guess the proper word you were trying to type ("ask").
3/ Also, if you put the cursor in the middle of a word to correct it, and then when SwiftKey guesses the word and you tap the guessed word to select it, SwiftKey will enter the guessed word and then leave the second half of the incorrect word, so you have to then delete that unnecessary bit too. Google keyboard corrects this properly, even if you have the cursor in the middle of a word, if you tap on a guessed option, the whole of the previously typed word is replaced, not just the part to the left of the cursor..
I really appreciate details like adjusting sound and vibrate with really fine adjustment, which alternatives neglect.
Things I wish it had:
*hyphenation and colons, etc are added with a space making it difficult to add new hyphenated words.
*backspace has to be held down to delete wrong words. I realize this preference may vary but I've gotten used to a backspace resulting in immediate deletion of entire wrong word, not only by a long press.
*wish the top and bottom bars were smaller
*wish the top bar had more suggestions and or scrolled right
*when the accent and unusual characters menu is disabled I wish holding down a key double long still offered the accent and unusual characters which turn out to be really hard to access unless it's enabled. Alternatively one could long press the number option for additional key maps.
Overall a great feeling and functioning, intuitive, fun keyboard comparable to an apple product and that is a high complement.
Hi. I have done a reset for my Huawei Y9 prime & now my SwiftKey is not predicting my stored words in dictionary which I can see online & I have also used export all option but still no word being predicted. Please need your help. Even tried using beta version but not a single word predicted after back up & sync. Thanks
I'm not talking about backing up Clipboard or synching between devices. I have the full release SwiftKey on my Android and also participate in the SwiftKey Beta. I have quite a few shortcuts in the full release version and am trying to find a way to import them into the Beta version. As it stands now it's hard to stick to the Beta and test it out since none of my Clipboard items are there and I end up going back to full release for usability.
I would like to able to turn off the trail in the flow feature. The trail that follows my finger from one key to the next, at least for me blocks the vision of the keyboard. I've used another keyboard that allows me to turn off the trail. I don't use that other keyboard because SwiftKey is better overall. I think it is best out there.
On my BlackBerry once I had backspace left to the beginning continued pressing would begin to delete to the right. This is incredibly useful feature and would love to see it added to the backspace key of SwiftKey please please please
1) I own a Samsung Note 10 plus, so I want to use the pen sometime.
I'd like to click to allow handwriting or pass to samsung keyboard easily
For now I used a switcher to pass from your keyboard to samsung keyboard, but I'd like to use only one keyboard, To write your is better, but i want to be allowed to use all input functionality
I found also: if a use a phisical keyboard, i can switch between samsung and swiftkey pressing the Key: WIN+SPACE
(also to change language on keyboard)
but how I can switch between keyboard with virtual keyboards?
Once again I ask you to add simple possibility to change visibility of arrow keys on last row of the keyboard (i.e. just like change visibility of numeric keys row). It will be very useful, not only for me!!!
I asked about it more than year ago. Now to change this you must enter into settings menu, then advanced settings menu, then keys menu, and then set “arrows keys visible”.
I like navigating text with arrow keys instead of tapping and meticulously dragging my thumb over the text. However, I do not like typing on the keyboard with the extra arrow key row on the bottom. I would like to be able to turn arrows keys on and off with the touch of a button or two. The lack of this feature and the ability to switch between languages on the fly are all that's keeping me from using the keyboard and spending money on it.
Huawei M5 10" with physical keyboard attached.
A few problems:
- In Onenote there is strange behaviour when using symbol like ()(#$ after typing the cursor just moves to beginning of line en sometime clears typed tekst.
- The "shift + space" pops up the input method inter action, unwanted a lot of times, especially when typing fast... It seems that you just don't release both Keys fast enough when continuoing typing. Would love to be abvle to customize the shortcut or change it to "alt+space".
Ever since the most recent Android system update on my Google Pixel, when the cursor is in a field and I press and hold the microphone button on the Swiftkey keyboard, the cursor disappears when the google voice-to-text engages. Then, I click the open box for a cursor again, which pauses voice-to-text, after which I must tap the voice-to-text icon to engage again. Before the update, when pressing the microphone button in siwftkey, the cursor would stay and you could simply talk to your phone and have it fill in text. Now, I must tap three times for the same function, often getting frustrated after dictating some text before realizing this is now happening.
I'm running SwiftKey Keyboard 184.108.40.206 on Android 10 (kernel version 4.4.177-gf227b9244fe3)(build number QP1A.191005.007.A1)
