    Hi there,

SwiftKey adds the word automatically when you tap on it. But the order to suggest the personalized word is yet to be adjusted. SwiftKey would learn how frequent you type the word, and the context of the word. It's normal that it didn't show for the second time.

Reinstall the app won't help on this. It's AI learning, our Neural technology, works like human brain.

Ok well this "AI" must have selective memory, because I am not talking about 1 or 2 times. Try dozens... So we need some kind of manual backup option when this AI is having a bad day.

Is it possible to share with us what are the words that SwiftKey failed to learn from you?
So that we might able to reproduce and eventually to locate the problem.

I will try to make a list and report back... I dont recall them all atm.

No need all of them. A few examples would do, we just want to make sure if it's the server language model's problem. Because if it is, all of us would run into this issue. If not, I'd guess it's only the personal language model needs to be rebuilt.

this is not something I have been tracking. Next time I notice it, I will update this thread (might take a bit, I don't live in my phone like most).
Either way I feel like I should be able to view /edit my personal dictionary as desired

And how come we don't get prediction prompts when in number/symbol mode?

Also will you just tell us how to "rebuild the personal language model"?

The prediction bar available all the time except while entering password. I am not sure what happened on your device.

To rebuild the personal dictionary: go to settings, account, delete your remote data. BE CAREFUL, this will remove all your saved words and typing history.

A current example of missing prediction is nouns, like Iris (the keyboard is predicting the word with a lowercase, but i almost never used it ...). Same with most uncommon names (The keyboard is in french by the way, if this information is needed)

A problem with prediction I keep having is I keep typing a specific word wrong and I frequently have to choose the correct spelling but it never auto-predicts or corrects it like some other words. The most often miss-typed-never-corrected word is thst to that. Every time I type 'thst' it's, 'that'. Probably 99.999999% of the time I type 'ths' the word I need is 'that'. Is there no way to set up an auto-correct for very specific words? Is there not a way to customize the predictive text dictionary? This type of thing is not an impossibility - it's a regular feature on other phones. How many more months will it take this AI to lean that I pretty much ALWAYS mean 'that' when I type 'thst'?

    @Melissa

There's some misunderstanding about SwiftKey AI. AI in SwiftKey provides mostly the next-word prediction in context. To know more, here's the intro video: https://youtu.be/iLsPqEc46xk

Maybe we have a solution for you: using the shortcut to create specific combo to specific word. To know more: https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/articles/212813085-How-does-the-Clipboard-work-with-SwiftKey-Keyboard-for-Android-#shortcuts

I use the word IPSC hundreds of times a week, or more, and SwiftKey refuses to ever suggest capitalizing it. Other words I use similarly it predicts them in capitals but never IPSC

It does not work. Numerous people are reporting this and there are many Google searches asking how to make this happen. Your responses are professional but not helpful - the suggestion to give the option of adding as well as removing words upon long tap is sound and was never acknowledged. Evidently it would be no more effective than the current short tap method but it would be clear.

Going into the options should provide a list of the user's added words, where they can be added or removed.

As others state, we use and tap words over and over again and perhaps after a month they will show up. The problem is not on the user end. I stopped using Swype because the swiping recognition is poor on my current phone while yours is perfect - please fix the broken word adding function or inevitably lose frustrated users. If it works for you then great, why not let the rest of us manually enter or remove words from a list in options? If the dev team just won't do this then I'll have to find another app - lack of logical functionality and poor (though friendly) user support is what drives me away.

Bang on, I still cannot get IPSC to be suggested as all caps ever.
