Gesture mode swipe down to hide broken
BeantwortetSince (unknown update), the gesture mode swipe down to hide does not work in 99% of the tries. The keyboard tries to do anything, but hiding, types the first key the finger touches the moment it hits the display, without even starting a gesture recognition, or does whatever.
Please fix this, it's really annoying, because the damn keyboard has no close/hide button. There are thousand of forms which does not trigger a close button, for example when you want to write a rating on the Play Store, and the damn SwiftKey is in the foreground, over the input test field.
Asked a friend to try, and for him it's broken too.
Hi,
Please remain calm and share us your SwiftKey version and Android version number.
I just tried to reproduce on the latest "damn" SwiftKey beta 6.5.7.21, there's no problem.

Cool. Beta. Did I say something about it? So what version am I using you can make a guess... maybe stable? 6.5.6.22
Can reproduce it on several phones, friends of mine too. So please stop your "can't reproduce" nonsense.
OK, I'll leave you to it. Won't bother you anymore.
Edit: just tried on 6.5.6.22 as well, works perfectly, no problem for swiping down to hide keyboard. Still, if you won't remain calm, things are not gonna work out.
What phone and OS are you using? SwiftKey does not have a hide key, but your device should have a back button to help you with this in the meantime while we look into it.
Why am I even trying, I have enough of this software and the "mods" on this forum, who are just there to type and don't have anything to do with the dev team, nor pass on bug reports.
Maybe I have deactivated the Android back keys because I don't want to have an annoying software key bar on some specific apps?
So I am relying on the "swipe down" to hide/close the keyboard, and you broke it. It worked before, though not perfectly, but since a few weeks/months it is 100% broken.
It is a LG G5 on Android 7.0. But my friend uses a Samsung S7 also Android 7, and has the same issue.
Do you really need to force me to record a video with a second phone, how I swipe down on the first one 20 times, so you can see it is not working?
It's obvious that it doesn't wait for a swipe gesture to finish, it records the touch down event the moment a finger touches the screen, and then already processes the "input", ignores the gesture.
We are all here to try and help.
There are many factors in why something could go wrong. I'm asking the information I need to try and assess the information.
Have you also changed the DPI of your screen?
It is not rooted, so I can't change any DPI.

So after I presented a video proof no answer anymore? This talks for this software and how bad it is. On a Android 5.0.1 Tablet it doesn't work anytime btw with 100% failure. What a joke this software became.
