Dave, although I confess it's pretty difficult to understand how it's not a trouble to type with this size, taking more than half of our Note 8 huge 6.3" screen (mainly with this new tall screen ratio), I really respect your opinion and typing preference.

But, with the keyboard in the normal size (without bug), you can get a huge size using the fifth level. While people who prefer it in the usual size (many people over here, Reddit, XDA, G+, etc) simply can't use it, since even the first level is already huge (just like what 3/4 level would be in the normal size, without bug).

People who like huge keyboard can please themselves using the biggest level and the keyboard will take half of the screen already. And the other app screen area used wont be totally blocked. Mainly chat apps, where we can take advantage of our screen dimension to type and still read and follow what other people are sending. And even when using multiple window. With this bug, it's tough to use two apps at the same time and type, since we lose what we are looking at in the top window.

We simply lose the advantage of our 6.3" screen with it's great 18.5:9 aspect ratio. That's the problem.

Posting from another device. Today at 12:51

For those of us that would like to have this, it would be a great addition.  Personally, I do think that the largest setting currently is not large enough on either the Note 8 or S8+ (that's if the Note 8 keyboard is about the same size as the S8+).  And that is just purely for texting with the stock messaging app.  I do understand that other people use other apps and that they need the remaining screen to be larger, so I think that maybe the Samsung method of resizing with a sliding box may be the way forward?  At least that way, it keeps everyone happy and you can have it exactly as you want it.  Or just have an extra size?

As this stands at the moment, it is perfect for me and my thumbs on this screen and I do not feel that I am missing anything in the space above the keyboard!

For now, I have disabled updates so I can keep the big keyboard :D

Maybe this will probably be the solution. The Samsung sliding method to resize it.

And the main problem here is still the lack of an official answer of what's happening and what they are planning to do, since even tickets they are not responding.

And, well, there's a bug. This is undoubtful. And they're treating a bug as a feature for two months. This shows no respect both for people who want it solved and also for people who liked it and now are attached to the current version, afraid of updates.

And the solution is SIMPLE. This is the most bizarre thing. It's a matter of creating additional sizes and fixing just like they did for Note 5 and S8.

On the S8+ though, they did not keep the extra large size, and I can only just manage with the largest size, lots of typing errors.  Hopefully they'll let us have both.
