SwiftKey Android Clipboard Bug: Saving edited or new clip deletes leading and trailing spaces
If you Copy selected text that includes leading and/or trailing space character(s), the space(s) are properly preserved in the clipped text.
However, if you enter the Clipboard Edit ("pencil') mode, and either edit an existing clip, or add a new clip, using the Save button deletes ALL leading and/or trailing space(s). It is particularly annoying that the text in the Clip Content area includes the leading/trailing spaces. However, using the Save button strips the spaces from the clip.
The only way to have a clipped item with leading / trailing spaces is to Copy text with the spaces you want, and NEVER edit the clip.
This is completely unexpected behavior (i.e., a bug) and a real pain. Even though there is a (sort of) workaround, please fix this bug as soon as possible, so I can stop tearing my hair out in frustration.
Tested on two devices:
- Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930V)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (SM-T820)
Software versions installed on both devices:
SwiftKey: v7. 2.9.36
