why don't you let me switch off autopredict?
as nice as autocorrection and autoprediction may be, at times, as annoying can it be at other times. if you are a creative writer, especially autopredict can be your worst enemy, especially if you are writing about a subject Swiftkey knows nothing about. Same if you write in, or experiment with, different writing styles. all this does, is the writer more dumb, and feeds more data in the big data machine.
Not allowing me to remove this annoying prediction bar is just more proof that data collection means everything and the user means nothing. All we gonna end up with are people too dumb to write a coherent sentence without the help of a machine and further down the inability to communicate at all without the crutch of technology.
I would like to request that with all your efforts to speed up the writing process and make everybody use the same old boring words in the sequence most recently collected by you, to allow the folks who still write word by word, by selection of their own personal choice, to do so without having to look and be disturbed constantly by an annoying prediction bar

I'm having the same problem and it's very annoying that it won't switch off... I'm thinking of going back to the Samsung keyboard because of this. Unless they fix the problem. Although I luv swift key.
the problem is not if we like SwiftKey or not. This is without any doubt a great piece of software and useful and helpful in many situations. but the fact that it can't be turned off is not ok. And of course the rationale behind it too, big data collection. On my phone I don't even see an option to use another kb.
