Android error: "Unlock your device to view" ???
I'm running the latest SwiftKey on my Android 10 device (OnePlus 7Pro - GM-1917 - running OOS 10.3.3). It has been working fine for months, but recently, an error has started occurring. I also am getting this same error on the latest SwiftKey beta.
With the keyboard open, if I click on the three dots on the upper right in order to get to the settings, the keyboard disappears, and I just get a blank window containing the following message: "Unlock your device to view".
My device is not "locked" in any way. All other apps work fine.
This never used to happen. I only started noticing it within the past couple days.
Now, when I go into my Android settings, select SwiftKey, and try to select a different keyboard layout, I get the same error instead of seeing a layout to click on.
It seems like whenever SwiftKey is trying to display some sort of dialog within an area on the screen, this error occurs.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?
Thank you in advance.
Hi Hippo Man, for us to better understand the issue, please record a video of the issue and submit a ticket to https://aka.ms/sk-support. We'll be able to investigate further. Thanks.
No reply on this message for something like 9 months.
To be clear, there is no fingerprint, password, nor pin lock set up for the device, nor has there ever been. I always have had swipe lock set.
Even so, SwiftKey is refusing to display dialogs, and instead, it gives the message that I have to "unlock" the device.
Why?
And how can this be fixed?
Thank you.
