Where is the damn semi-colon?! Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 KommentarI cannot for the life of me find where the semi-colon is on my SwiftKey keyboard! It's literally driving me crazy. I found a post where someone else asked and someone replied saying to long press N or the ",!?" buttons, but it's NOT there. And yes, I've went thru the "123", both pages, and it is NOT there!

Right to Left support for brackets Beantwortet1 Stimme 3 Kommentare
Swiftkey on my previous phone worked well but since switching to a new phone, brackets show up in the opposite direction when I try to type in RTL languages.
Furthermore, a space is automatically added after one type of bracket and deleted before the next which makes the whole affair even more complicated and prevents comfortable use of these languages.
Adding more languages without allowing them to be used properly is not beneficial.
An update restoring the original functionality would be appreciated.
Seriously considering a change of keyboard otherwise.
Split keyboard unusable on Galaxy Tab S5e in landscape mode Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 Kommentar
After the latest update (22.214.171.124) the keys are squeezed together on the both sides of the screen. They are too narrow, too small and too close to each other which makes using the keyboard almost impossible. There is also no way to move or scale them horizontally.
faulty key layout English (US)? Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 KommentarI just installed SwiftKey, and detected that long pressing X, will produce £ as default, should it not be $ as default since it's the US, not the UK keyboard layout?

Keypress Vibration suddenly stopped working Beantwortet-1 Stimmen 4 Kommentare
The keypress vibration for SwiftKey Beta 126.96.36.199 on my Samsung Galaxy S10 stopped working out of nowhere, and my phone doesn't vibrate when I press a key.
Here's what I tried:
* Enabling system vibration on the SwiftKey settings.
* Disabling system vibration and setting a custom vibration (my phone vibrates when setting the vibration duration slider, but not when pressing keys).
* Rebooting the phone.
* Clearing all cache and data from SwiftKey.
So far nothing worked, and my keyboard is vibrationless.
Ability to choose long-press letter options Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 KommentarI think this isn't too farfetched. Basically, I want the user to be able to select which diacritic appear for the letters they long press. For example, "Ǥ" appearing when I long press G. I know there are language packs which include such diacritics, but I'm currently developing a writing system which relies on the following diacritics: Ŧ, Ƶ, Đ, Ħ, Ǥ, ẞ, Ɛ, and Ɔ. Obviously there should be a limit per letter on the keyboard, so I wouldn't add 100 different diacritic, but I'm sure the developers can set a maximum limit for such a thing. The way it could be done is allowing the user to either add a "custom" keyboard layout, similar to QWERTY, AZERTY, etc, or modify the existing layouts just by choosing which diacritics appear upon long pressing a button.
Characters BIGGER Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 Kommentar
Can we have the option to adjust the characters BIGGER for ourselves? Changing the size only make it TALL, but not making the characters bigger as we want it. Thank you
Multi language Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 KommentarI enable 3 languages (English, Spanish, German) and use swipe, which I realize is hard, but it has become almost unusable in the last 2 months with a really low prediction rate. I can also no longer delete unwanted predictions by long pressing them, they come right back. Has something fundamentally changed?

Problem with SwiftKey on mobile forum Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 Kommentar
I use SwiftKey as the keyboard on my phone. It has the option to swipe when typing or to tap letters individually. It also has predictive text to finish half-typed words and to get suggestions for the next word in the sentence you're writing.
When I'm on the forums (mobile theme), when I'm typing a post using the swipe feature, it types double words, likelike thisthis. But it doesn't do that when I'm tapping individual letters or using predictive text to finish my words.
This doesn't happen on any other app or website. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? Good
Themes Beantwortet2 Stimmen 8 Kommentare
I've been a SwiftKey user since the very start of the app. I have used it in Android and iOS. One thing is missing: Why not let the user create their own theme? At least the ability to choose colors and fonts.
This would push your keyboard over the top!
Voice-to-text: On Android, at the shortest pause, the microphone turns off! Beantwortet2 Stimmen 2 Kommentare
Brand new to SK! In fact, to my delight, I discovered it only 30 minutes ago! It works flawlessly on my iPhone.
However, at the shortest pause, the mic turns off on my Android tablet. Annoying. So, what am I missing?
Symbols are barely visible on the adaptive keyboard theme Beantwortet1 Stimme 1 KommentarI'm so glad that you've finally added adaptive theme for the keyboard light/dark, but the issue it that the dark one has a bad visibility of the symbols on it. They're all greysd out, almost matching the grey/dark color of the keyboard...

Allow customization of characters on alternative keyboard. (numeric/ special characters) Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 KommentarSwiftKey could allow customization of special characters showed on numeric keyboard. Note that special characters are very related to each user special needs. Also, sometimes user needs some few alphabetic characters when using numeric alternative keyboard. Passwords are a typical case where it occurs. Regular characters (a to x) could be accessed thru long press on this keyboard and this will eliminate the need to go back and forth on regular and numeric keyboards. The layout on numeric keyboard offers enough slots to do it. Another problem is that the current version changes the special characters to another one when long pressed without any hint of which caharcater will be used. This is a mess
Can not give up typing after a key long press Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 KommentarAfter long pressing a key user must choose any of the popes up characters. Sometimes usera make a mistake and just wants to give up and this is not possible. Auwift key should show on alternative character list a slot that allows user to cancel the operation. Alternatively it can allow a movement such as moving to space bar to indicate the operation to be canceled.

Voice to Text & multi language Beantwortet0 Stimmen 3 KommentareAfter the last update I can't switch to Google voice recognition anymore, it still shows Bing interface. Moreover I can't use several languages as I still can do with no-beta Version (German and Russian), the recognition is only in German. Please fix.
Give us the ability to switch voice back to Google api for voice typing Beantwortet0 Stimmen 3 KommentareThe newest SwiftKey beta doesn't use the Google voice typing and there's no customization on it, it's too sensitive and stops voice input when I pause for a new sentence. Word recognition is worse than Google, it won't let me type curse words, and what's up with the tiny delete button in the corner. Y'all can do voice to text on your own if you want but let us choose between yours and Googles
PLEASE FIX THUMB LAYOUT FROM LAST UPDATE!!! Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 Kommentar
If you check the reviews on the playstore many people who use the thumb layout are saying the last update makes it unusable.
The space in the middle is now almost 75% of the keyboard
Please fix it or add the option for the old layout.
You can't expect people to use this keyboard for years and then change the layout.
Voice typing keeps cutting off in Google Docs - SwiftKey on Android Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 Kommentar
About a week ago (about Sept. 25, 2020), my Google Voice Typing, which I use with SwiftKey (now owned by Microsoft), stopped working. The microphone stayed on in listening mode for only about two to three seconds (depending on my device), unless I kept talking rapidly and unnaturally without any pauses, almost as though I were reading a book for one of those speeded up commercials. If I paused at all, or stopped to think briefly, the microphone would shut off, and I'd have to tap it again to continue. Sometimes it seems like it doesn't hear me at all after I tap 'Tap to start', or maybe just hears a few words, stops listening in the middle of a sentence, and then stops a few seconds afterwards, as though I had stopped speaking. It never used to work like this… I was able to use it very efficiently to compose writings on Google Docs. I would be able to pause from 5 to 10 seconds before continuing speaking.
I wonder if the speech buffer is filling up, and that's turning off the microphone, and then it stops a few seconds later because it's not hearing anything anymore.
This degradation happened about the same time on all my Android devices where I used Voice Typing. I noticed that I was asked to agree to permissions again when this problem started, and the user interface also changed, so I think that this happened because of a faulty upgrade.
I haven't yet found anyone else complaining about this happening recently. I also wonder if it's some app I installed that uses the microphone, but I can't find anything so far.
Any ideas…? Thanks. David
P.S. I tried Voice Typing in Google Docs on my Chromebook laptop, and the microphone stays on for about 23 seconds after I stop talking. This is how it should work on my Android devices, and pretty much how it used to work, although I'm not sure it stayed on quite that long. I wish there were a setting on it so it would stay on indefinitely until you turned it off.
P.P.S. I just replaced SwiftKey with Gboard on my Android tablet. Now Google Voice Typing works just fine. In fact, it appears to stay on for a very long time before turning off, just the way I would like it to act. Strange that a Google update has just effectively destroyed one of Microsoft's SwiftKeys most attractive features… Hopefully, it was just an unfortunate coincidence.
And too bad that Gboard is apparently not as good as SwiftKey. I guess I'll find out...
Using Katakana and small characters on Microsoft Swiftkey? Beantwortet0 Stimmen 1 Kommentar
I'm using Microsoft Swiftkey as my Japanese keyboard. Currently, the only way I've been able to pull up katakana and small characters is by typing it entirely in hiragana and hoping that it didn't decide to split the word (because then it won't correct it).
If there isn't a way to do this on Swiftkey, I'd appreciate suggestions for alternatives that do have these things. Thank you.
