So I've put English (US) and Greek keyboards in the Swiftkey's language options and chose the Greek layout.
Right away the keyboard was always writing in English, so I went to the Android options and ticked a setting that displays a screen-keyboard even when the physical keyboard is connected.
By doing this, I noticed that the on-screen keyboard is correctly changing languages, but whenever I type on the physical keyboard the language is still English, always!
Then I went into the "Language and Input > Physical keyboard" settings , in there I found the following layouts:
- Samsung Keyboard - English (US)
- Samsung Keyboard - Greek
- SwiftKey Keyboard - SwiftKey Keyboard
As you can also see in the screenshot, there's only one SwiftKey Keyboards and the layout language is English (US) (in gray color).
If I change this layout to Greek, then I can type Greek with my physical keyboard while using SwiftKey but now I can't change back to English!
It seems like the Swiftkey's layout setting is completely ignored by the device's option which is but a single-choice option.
Also, what kind of combnation is the "CTRL+Shift to change language"? This is a combination I press all the time in order along with the left/right arrows in order to quickly mark entire words and I end up changing languages! Please allow the users to enabe/disable/change shortcuts.
