How does SwiftKey ensure privacy when accessing my accounts?

Protecting our users’ privacy is of great professional - and personal - importance to us at SwiftKey. We would not be where we are today without the trust of our users, and it’s paramount that we maintain this. As mentioned previously, we’re at the core a data company, so this is something into which we’ve put a great deal of thought since we were founded, and by no means take lightly.

We abide by incredibly strict data security policies, all in accord with European user data laws (which are stricter than those in the U.S.). Specifically, any data transmitted to our servers is done through fully encrypted channels, the safest method available today, and stored on Amazon’s industry-leading S3 servers with the absolute highest levels of security. Language data, which is only stored in short strings of words, is kept on completely separate servers from any personally identifying information.

Storing some data is part of delivering the benefits of the SwiftKey Account; for example, it allows users’ personal language profiles and purchased themes to be synced across devices. This is an opt-in service, and any user profile may be deleted at any time.
