If you feel that SwiftKey has stopped 'learning' from your writing style or your predictions seem off, we have some troubleshooting you can try to help kickstart the learning process again. These troubleshooting steps include the single and double word predictions that appear in SwiftKey's prediction bar.
Please make sure you are always running the latest version of SwiftKey and are signed into your SwiftKey Account if you want to retain any saved language data.
- Open your device's Settings
- Go to the App list
- Select 'SwiftKey Keyboard'
- Tap 'Storage'
- Tap the buttons to 'Clear data' and 'Clear cache'
- Open SwiftKey and make sure your settings are how you like
Sometimes the cloud connection gets lost and needs to be re-connected. To fix this:
- Open the SwiftKey Hub
- Tap 'More'
- Log out of your account
- Sign back into your SwiftKey Account
This should force a re-sync and bring all your custom predictions back.
If the previous did not work, give SwiftKey a fresh install. Doing this can iron out any random bugs that might be impacting SwiftKeys performance.
Note: if you have not created a SwiftKey Account and enabled Backup & Sync this will clear all data and saved language from the application. Please make sure you are okay with this.
If this does not work, please contact the Support Team using the 'Submit a Request' button on this page.
