I am getting 'package file is invalid' error message when downloading. What do I do?

This problem is generally associated with cache files. Mostly, clearing cache or uninstalling and reinstalling the app will solve the issue.

Below are three methods to try that should resolve this issue for you.

First:

  1. Go to your device settings
  2. Go to Apps (Application Manager)
  3. Select SwiftKey
  4. Clear cache and data
  5. Run update/try installing again in Google Play 

Second:

  1. Go to your device settings
  2. Go to Apps (Application Manager)
  3. Tap Google Play Store
  4. Clear cache and data
  5. Go to your device settings
  6. Go to Apps (Application Manager)
  7. Tap Google Service Framework
  8. Clear cache and data
  9. Now try installing or updating the app in Google Play

Third:

  1. Go to your device settings
  2. Go to Apps (Application Manager)
  3. Google Play Store
  4. Uninstall Update
  5. Reinstall or update your app in Google Play
