    Jason Reece fixed it!!!! (At least for now).

    I'd been struggling with this for a month or so no my Note 5, but this seems to have resolved it.

    For those of you bagging Android - let's remember that we all seem to be on Samsung devices an we get a version of Android that's been modified by Samsung.  This ain't Google's fault, this is Samsung's.

    Probably just another outcome of them focusing on moving on to the latest and greatest handsets rather than focusing on our ancient (2 yr old) devices...  :D

    Anyway, thanks to Jason!

    I found a fix on a different msg board, but since I came here first I thought I would share the love.

    I have a S6 that was experiencing the same issues with the Samsung Keyboard app constantly crashing after trying to use the Message App built in Emoji button.

    I first did the same thing as Jason Reece(reset Samsung Keyboard), then I updated the Samsung Keyboard app:

    Apps->Settings->Language and Input->Virtual Keyboard->Samsung Keyboard->About Samsung Keyboard -> Update.

    This updated my Samsung Keyboard to 2.0.2.57, and ever since, I have not seen the app crash.

    Thanks Houser! Your fix worked for my Samsung S6.

    Strange that the Samsung Keyboard does not update with the same proceedure as other apps/system.

    Thank you Houser! That fixed it for me too! This has been driving me crazy since July! I must add that I am very disappointed that the folks @ SwiftKey did not give us a fix! I have been using the app for years and I didn't want to change, but if you had not posted this information I most likely would have moved on.
