Old Phone to New Phone Android
AnsweredHi,
I'm struggling here to transfer from my Samsung 6 to the new Samsung 8 with all my predictions from the old phone. First I did a backup sync on my old phone, and then did a backup sync on my new S8. Nothing happened. Do I need to delete the app on my old phone? Dose anyone have an answer.
I will say that the tech support is very weak in regards to the response time, and information. I'm surprised being a Microsoft owned product that they don't offer better support as I have been waiting more than three days for my answer.
Thanks for your response
Same problem here, but it doesn't look like they plan to fix it
This is such a pain in the azz.
I have used this app since 2009 (10yrs) never have I ever had these same issues until recently.
Where is the file path on the phone to copy the downloaded zip file that contains the data from SwiftKey.
I have the same problem - I moved from one Android phone to a newer one, and although I'm signed in with the same SwiftKey account and it says that it is backed up and synced, my personal dictionary is not available on the new phone (it is not predicting words and does not recognise my custom words).
SwiftKey and Microsoft: this issue has been unresolved for years, and is affecting your paying customers. See this thread, and https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115004473409-Learnt-Words-not-transferring-to-new-phone and https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115002356949-Account-won-t-sync-across-devices, just for example.
What are you going to do to support your product users?
