Slow when gesture typing with Hebrew [Reported]

Got same issue, using Samsung S8, the keyboard is insanely slow.

Problem not fixed yet

Oh I also thought I should mention that not only did the update introduce this lag, it also ruined the word evaluation for swiping (or flow, or whatever it's called). It will often input the wrong word now. It didn't use to be this bad.

Hello everyone, 

Can you tell me how you are reproducing this?

• I see it's coming from Flow typing
• is it Flow only?

Can anyone provide a video? I see someone posted something but it's been deleted. 

i can't believe that after all this time you still haven't done anything !

find someone else who will reproduce it - i move to a different product.

We believe some users might be using an older version of the language model. 

Can you go into SK Settings > Language > pull to refresh > see if the Hebrew language pack has an update button next to it. If so, update.

As already answered by Nir, there is no new update to the language pack for any of us using Hebrew.

We also removed and reinstalled the app, the language pack.

I, personally, also tried the Beta version as well as the regular one.

None of these solutions did a change...

While saying that, English typing is smooth as it should in the same time that Hebrew is lagging.

The lag when Flowing, is the lag happening after you Flow the word and it takes some time before the word appears on the screen?

Exactly Ryan - this is the phenomena.

BTW, it does happen also for non-swipe mode but due to the fact it's slower from the beginning.

I was able to reproduce the lag in response time when flow typing before the words show up on the screen. 

I did not see this same lag when normal typing. But I made a quick video and shared it to the team.

I appreciate your patience while we look into this. I can see how that is super frustrating.

Seems like there's some improvement, the lag still occurs, but not as often

but there was no update... i think you just got used to it

Seeing same issue for a couple of months now. Doesn't happen in other keyboards afaik.
After a long time with swiftkey, getting really close to calling it quits.
My phone is a Google Pixel with Oreo. Happened also before Oreo.
Happens in Hebrew, doesn't happen in English. If you want more recordings, please let me know.

i suggest you quit. it's not the first time there's a bug for hebrew users, and the fact it's not dealt with for weeks is disturbing. someone takes a vacation and the whole issue is delayed...

i like their product, but there are others in the market

Will keep SwiftKey installed to see if a fix will come. Meanwhile I'll use other keyboard

Which other keyboard are you guys using? I couldn't find another that was good enough. I wish I could (easily) just use swiftkey for English and any other one for Hebrew.
