[Feature Request] - Number row for iOS
I used an Android Nexus 5 for many years with swiftkey. I really liked the keyboard layout with the numbers on top row and symbols among the letters, where you press a bit longer to get the number or symbol.
I switched to an iPhone and immediately put swiftkey on thinking it would be the same, but no. The numbers and symbols are hidden in another keyboard. I hate this. I always end up hunting for a symbol I'm looking for.
The Android way is just so much more intuitive. Is there some setting on iOS/swiftkey that gives the Android type keyboard? I went thru all the settings but couldn't find anything.
Hi Zoran,
This is not currently possible in the iOS app. But we will treat this as a feature request for you.
Thanks. The quicker the better.
Is this an iOS limitation or currently a Swiftkey limitation?
I notice that none of the other keyboard iOS apps have this. I personally find the iOS keyboard so frustrating to use that I'm considering going back to an Android phone just for the keyboard alone.
I would love to see the same Options like on Android for swiftkey. It makes everything better with the longpress numbers and Symbols
Ditto. Swiftkey for ios needs a number row above the qwerty!!! My wife has been an Android Swiftkey user for many years, but just moved to an iPhone. After she moved, one of her first comments was, "I hate this keyboard. I have to switch layouts every time i need to enter a number." I said, "No problem. You can just download Swiftkey for ios and you'll have your number row back." Boy, was I embarrassed. For her, number row is the single most important feature (differentiator) that Swiftkey has over other keyboards.
+1, this is giving me anxiety about my android to iphone switch
Slyder iPhone keyboard demonstrates that adding a number row is perfectly possible, come on SwiftKey time to add this.
Come on Swiftkey. Give some love to iOS.
