Swiftkey paste from clipboard in numeric field
AnsweredHello all,
I noticed a very annoying thing in Swiftkey keyboard Android. I cannot use clipboard in a field that accepts only digits. The keyboard hides the "+" button so I can't use the clipboard on it.
However, when using other keyboards (e.g. Chrooma), I can paste on the same field from the clipboard.
Anyone came across the same issue? please help, this been annoying me for a long time.
Thank you.
Hi, are these fields marked as login/password fields?
Hi, thanks for replying. No these are normal fields. They are not passwords.
Hi Teckm, can you provide some examples please so I can double check?
Hi, here for example you can see two screenshots:
Right now you have to long-press a text input, which highlights the text in it, then press delete, Gboard has a clipboard option, you can add it to the top bar With SwiftKey if you copy something, the copied item will be displayed in the criteria for what goes here is pretty defined and the number of items is relatively low.
Hi Teckm, I have checked and this is correct for when you are using a field where you enter numbers such as your banking app/website.
You'll find that you can access your clipboard even if you are within the number panel when you are typing in a notes app or messaging app.
Hello, I found a workaround that may be helpful for others.
You'll just need to type random data and select it, the button to paste will pop up.
Thanks for replying
