Cannot backup/migrate clipboard?
AnsweredI've got a new phone and used the cloud backup feature to migrate Swiftkey to the new phone.
My stats have been copied over, but not my preferences, including the clipboard shortcuts.
Is there any way to fix this?
I'm moving from Android 7 to 8, using Google for the backup storage.
Thanks.
Hi,
SwiftKey does not have sync option for clipboard, as we know users takes very seriously about their privacy: because copy-paste password in a frequent action. So we decided to leave it locally, rather than synced into our cloud.

The best work around is on the old phone, open A Google Keep note or make an email to yourself. Paste each clipboard note.
Then on the new phone, copy and save each clip onto swiftkey.
Hi, why don't you let the user decide ? Most of people who use your app seriously e.g. for work have thousands of clips !
You should really consider giving the user the choice to backup our saved clipboard.
Hi, Hasri Amri, thank you very much for your feedback. We would like to inform you that, Microsoft SwiftKey has Cloud Clipboard feature to sync your copied text across all your devices. We recently launched the Clipboard backup and sync feature in the SwiftKey Beta app and it is still under testing. If you would like to start trying the backup and sync feature, please install the SwiftKey Beta app from the Google Play Store and try it out, and give us your feedback. Thank you for your support.
