loading Clipboard shortcuts
AnsweredIs there a way to load Clipboard shortcuts en masse (instead of manually doing so one at a time)?
Perhaps not if the speculation I've seen is true that the file containing them is encrypted.
I know there is no programmatic Import functionality yet.
I'd love to be able to manually paste them into Swiftkey's Clipboard file all at once. (I dread needing to paste them in manually, separately each Clip and Shortcut, using the Android Clipboard, since I injured my hand.)
Hi,
At this time, there is no way to manually upload multiple clips at once directly within the app. As far as hacking it through the file system. I'm unaware of this. We generally don't give our ways to alter app files.
This is good feedback though.
Thank you very much for your Reply, Ryan! I'll go ahead and manually enter them.
People switch phone so frequently* that it would be great to not have to re-enter them each time. (Particularly for people like me who have repetitive strain injuries from typing.)
*(and separate Android keyboard apps have separate sets of Clips/Shortcuts)
Hi,
I agree I think it's a good idea. These could even be synced to your SwiftKey Account, which would make them carry over no matter what phone you were on.
This would be a very nice additional feature for the clipboard functionality.
I too would love that they be synced to your SwiftKey Account, but only if done so securely since in another thread
I was reminded of the concern that they "are stored locally. It's more accurate and secure."
Hey, speaking of clipboard functionality, while surveying inferior competitors before picking SwiftKey, I noticed a number of keyboard apps have Fn keys. If SwiftKey added a Fn key one could execute a shortcut simply with a Fn + one other key combination. (Instead of now where after the keystrokes one then needs to select the Clip from the suggestion bar [or whatever it's called] to 'execute' it.)
