I'm getting the blank keyboard too, using SwiftKey Neural Alpha on Samsung galaxy S9+ updated to Android 9, it says in Play Store that app is no longer supported. I'm very upset about it! Is that going to be fixed?

Same issue for my wife and I with our Galaxy S8's.
For me, it seems to crash when I press the button to access symbols. Then, if I swap out with a different keyboard and then switch back, it works briefly before crashing again. I would post an animated gif of the behavior, but I don't think I can upload images here in this forum... Or can I?

I also have a Note 9 and am experiencing the same issue on beta 7.24.20. I uninstalled and downloaded the previous beta version from Apkmirror and was working as normal until it automatically updated from the play store. So it's definitely an issue with the 7.24.20 version.

Same. Galaxy S8, keyboard randomly disappears in multiple apps. Can't do anything but exit.

I have a Note 9 on oreo. Swiftkey betaworks on my Verizon messaging app. But everywhere else it doesn't work.

Update: I went back to nonbeta version and the keyboard is back!

Yes NOTE 8. To fix I've found that u must open SWIFT BETA KEYBOARD app, go to THEME, go to yours, and keep switching THEMES until the keys show again.
THIS IS A TEMP FIX, BUT IT WORKS FOR NOW

Hey @Phonepole - the Neural Alpha app was decommissioned a long time ago. It was only ever an Alpha app.

Same thing with me. Regular released version is fine, beta version is blank. Changing themes didn't help. Galaxy Note 9, on Oreo still.

Do this right away!! It was so annoying and irritating to deal with the BETA application.
    Uninstall beta, install SWIFT KEYBOARD.
    DONE!!!

@Matt Farrington Smith Thanks I didn't realize that, it was working well until the update. The regular SwiftKey is working okay.

Yes Matt... Verizon Note 8 with standard/current software installed. I have swapped to the non-beta version of SK but it's not nearly as nice. Please correct this issue, so I can swap back!

Force stopping SwiftKey Beta and restarting it seems to fix the issue but it just keeps coming back. Note 8. Hope you guys fix this soon - I miss SwiftKey SO MUCH!

Still no fix for this?  This isn't a new issue.  I'm convinced this issue is with Android 9.0, at least from my perspective.  I upgraded my wife from a S7Edge in November to a G-Pixel 3 with Android 9.0 and she had SAME ISSUE!!!!  I did all kinds of troubleshooting then and couldn't find anything that would last more than a single open of the keyboard.  The moment my phone updated from 8.x to 9.0 this morning Swiftkey dies!!!!  FIX IT!!!!!!!!

Trevor this is not an Android 9.0 issue. I am still on Android 8.0.0 with Note 8 and my keyboard still dissappears.

@Dean Lee. We all get it. Switch to the regular version of SwiftKey and everything is fixed but that is not the point of being on a Beta. We are on a Beta to report issues with the keyboard and we're all reporting the issue so the developers are aware and can fix it.

Definitely not an android 9bisdue - I'm note 8 running Android 8. If I force close SKB and then reopen it and select it as my keyboard, I can use it until I finish a single task (say, send a text message or enter a comment). Once the keyboard is closed (I go into another app), the next time the keyboard comes up, it's just the theme with no letters. Unfortunately, the keyboard key which I choose to always have available in the taak bar also disappears too so changing the keyboard out is a pain.

7.2.4 (Market release) is coming next week. As others have said this is obviously a Beta build so while it's unfortunate, issues like this do crop up from time to time.
