Unable to sync learned words between Android devices
Every time I re-install swiftkey on same device or install to a new android device my predicted words dissapeared! Even Backup/restore was ON on previous device and on the new device also, triggered sync many times on both devices!
This happened the second time for me between different devices, word backup never worked. What the cloud backup is for then? What is the purpose?
Before you say I turned off backup, my data exists in the cloud at data.swiftkey.com, but does not synced to any of new devices:
Facing the same problem over different devices. Got a new oneplus 7t but when signing in my SwiftKey account, I'm not able to find my words back.. Anyone Plz help..

Same problem with a Motorola G4. I see all of my learned words in my SwiftKey data, but none of it has been synced to my device, even after manually syncing.
I have the exact same issue & it is driving me crazy. What I want to know is why anyone from SwiftKey hasn't responded yet, seeing that they suggested we come here & share the problem so they can improve their service. Didn't I read somewhere that Microsoft bought SwiftKey recently? If that be true, that would explain this problem, which is kinda major as this is what their success is built on. Predictions & machine learning. They are turning SwiftKey into another Windows 10 with its major update issues. I currently have no trust in my Windows 10 operating system as I never know if it will boot up successfully after their forced updates, which has failed on countless occasions after the updates.

Pretty sad it's been my favourite keyboard and now the personal words are no longer restorable after I switched to new phone. Android to Android, and I had done this before never had the same problem until this time. Support team should really give this a high priority!

Looks like this feature has never worked in swiftkey as I can remember. I use swiftkey since 2011, I can consider myself a power user. Every time I install the keyboard on the new ROM, or a new Android device, it does not matter - the cloud has never worked, synchronization words typed disappears inexplicably.
When Microsoft bought a product - they just scored a bolt on the support of the product in operating condition.
They work only on the basic functions... And each update on Play Store - blunt add an incomprehensible languages, no significant bug fixes, no any "required" functions from real users.
It's a pity.

I bought a new device recently (OnePlus 7T Pro - Android 10), but the problem is, after installing SwiftKey and logging in, my predictions are not being synced. I tried to log out reboot and log in again (like they suggest), uninstall and install and so on, but it never syncs my predictions.
What can I do to make SwiftKey to sync my predictions?
I have to differ with a previous post made here, by Ivan Grynenko. Ivan, I've changed phones +-3 times while using SwiftKey & after installing it on my new handsets, all my previously synced data/ predictions were available. It's only after installing it on my new Samsung Galaxy two weeks ago that I've been having this issue of not having my saved data available on the new handset.
Also, there is STILL no official statement or response from SwiftKey/Microsoft.
They are definitely aware of the problem but don't seem to be interested in keeping us informed on what they are going to do about it. As soon as I know this, I can let go & move on. I've contacted them more than a week ago, detailing the problem, but no reply whatsoever. Not even an acknowledgment that they've received my correspondence. I've also been checking my mail frequently, hoping that there will be a reply from SwiftKey. But nada.... nothing, but more & more comments here on "THEIR" support website, with users experiencing the exact same problem.
Is this really how these people deal with issues? By simply keeping quiet.
It literally makes me lose hope.
SwiftKey, you are digging a hole for yourself. Soon it will be so deep that you won't be able to get out no matter how hard you try.
