Caps Lock On

My keyboard will occasionally start with the caps lock on. I will open an app where the keyboard comes up, for example, messenger. It will start in caps lock so I TYPE IN ALL CAPS RIGHT OFF THE BAT. I can't find a setting that would be causing this. Using a Samsung note 10+. Have been using this keyboard app on 5 different devices before this one and have never encountered this before.

Hi James, did you find a fix, by any chance? I've been experiencing the same problem recently, as well, and just been dealing with it, but it's starting to become irritating.  Interesting that you have a note10, as I have a Note8. I wonder if this is a samsung thing. There's another guy in this forum with same problem, listed here: https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/search/click?data=BAh7CjoHaWRsKwgbVhvVUwA6CXR5cGVJIhNjb21tdW5pdHlfcG9zdAY6BkVUOgh1cmxJIlJodHRwczovL3N1cHBvcnQuc3dpZnRrZXkuY29tL2hjL2VuLXVzL2NvbW11bml0eS9wb3N0cy8zNjAwNTc2MjQwOTEtQ2Fwcy1sb2NrLQY7B1Q6DnNlYXJjaF9pZEkiKTU1YzRhZDI3LTgxMGUtNGRiNC1iYWJjLTZhNGM2NGY1M2ZiYQY7B0Y6CXJhbmtpBg%3D%3D--549ee7bbfd6d0d90f89af8ade3c75c6acb821e59

I don't think he listed his phone model.

I'm using SwiftKey Beta version v. 7.4.3.37 and just noticed a new version is out, but I normally don't do updates unless I have to, and wondering if I should switch to non-beta version.

Curious if you are using regular or beta, and which version, and if you've solved the problem yet. Hope to hear back from you. If you find/found the solution, please definitely post it, and I will as well.

Oddly the problem seemed to have sorted itself out. I'm not sure what changed, but I haven't run into the problem in a while. I had the note 8 before I got the 10+, and an s7 edge before that, so I don't feel it's a Samsung thing, as I said in my original post, out of 5 devices using this app, I had never run into the problem before.

As for versions, I keep my software up to date and I haven't bothered playing with any betas.

I have the current version on the Google play store which is 7.4.9.11

Oh wow, thanks for the *swift* reply. I just posted to the other person mentioned and came back to your reply! Maybe I'll switch to the regular version, as I'm guessing an update may have fixed you up. Have a great day and stay safe & healthy!
