How to disable auto backspace when using a punctuation mark?
AnsweredWhen using a punctuation mark such as colon ":" after inserting space after a word, swiftkey automatically remove the space and connects the punctuation mark with the word.
This was not the case in older versions.
How do we get rid of this behavior?
Also, another thing is that, after any punctuation mark, swiftkey automatically inserts a space after it. In older versions it used to happen only for periods "." , commas "," and semicolons ";"
But now it happens for colon ":" as well which I don't want.
Example for both problems:
While Texting: Life is sad :(
Turns to: Life is sad: (
Please help me fix this as well.
Thank you
Hi Abdullah,
Regarding the space after ':', can you please confirm on which version of your Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard this happens? This behaviour is expected with with dot and comma. Are you using typing, using flow, or voice typing?
I could not reproduce the example issue you are referring to, could you please send a screen recording of the issue by submitting a support ticket here https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/requests/new so that we can see the issue you are experiencing? This way we'll be able to help further.
Thank you.
Hello, the issue has been resolved.
I simply uninstalled the app and re installed it again and it's working just how I used to love it.
But still, thanks a lot! @... bro! :D
Hi Abdullah, happy to hear that the issue has been solved. Thanks for the information.
