Voice input typing issues
AnsweredWhenever I use voice input with SwiftKey, if I pause for just a second input is ended. Also, the cursor will move to the start of the sentence.
When using gboard and it's voice input, I can pause and think about my next words and then continue without having to restart the microphone.
Please fix this
Hello, thank you for your feedback. As your Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard utilizes Google Voice technology to power this feature. The functioning & accuracy of the words generated when using voice to text is not controlled by Microsoft SwiftKey.
However, I've passed your feedback on to the team so that we can keep it in mind as we continue to improve Microsoft SwiftKey. Thank you for your support!
This isn't about accuracy, it is about timing I do not encounter this thinking issue with gboard. SwiftKey needs a longer period of time between pauses.
Hello Grandpa Dale Ross, thank you for getting back to us and briefing the issue. Please be assured that we will certainly pass your feedback along to our teams. Thank you for your support!
I have a Microsoft Surface Duo 2, Microsoft preloaded SwiftKey. It seems like a stretch to throw Google Voice "under the bus" for this Voice Input issue. The issue is NOT there when I use GBoard on the Surface Duo. To follow your logic, Google's GBoard keyboard must use a third-party voice to text engine not the Google Voice engine SwiftKey uses. This issue was a problem with the original Surface DUO and continues to be an issue with the Surface Duo 2.
Agree, the delay is in Swiftkey. Gives us control on that!
Hi!
What is the purpose of having a Community
Forum.?! where we provide input and ideas, where we hope/expect you to actually be able to provide answers if we have any questions!? But it seems like you have a standard commentary to
most things;
"I've passed your feedback on to the team so
that we can keep it in mind as we continue to improve Microsoft SwiftKey. Thank you for your support!"
...time passes, weeks and months...
and no further updates regarding sv on your part?!?
Why do you encourage us to give
Feedback, question and praise.... we're not get the answers, or feedback we need from you?!

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. We have already updated the feedback to our development team for review and hoping this will be included on our future updates. All we can ask for now is your continued patience and patronage for SwiftKey.
