In the gesture input section there are only two options: flow and gestures. I don't want to use any of them since they cause me some problems while I'm typing on my Xperia c4 device. Please add "None" option for those like me. By the way, thank you for developing such fantastic app.

Using SwiftKey with a Pixel C physical keyboard0 votes 1 comment
I've used SwiftKey (and SwiftKey Neural) for a few years on several devices. Recently I got hold of a Pixel C and the accompanying physical keyboard, both of which are great.
However, I've noticed that the "..." button on the keyboard (which brings up symbols etc has no effect when the default keyboard is SwiftKey. That is with GBoard, touching "..." gives me access to all the extra keys and symbols. With Swiftkey it just acts as a Right-Alt key.
Is there a stetting anywhere in SwiftKey?
Is it something you're aware of and are working on?
Is it something you're aware of but can do nothing about due to Google having something locked down?
Any advice would be awesome, thanks. I have the beginnings of an idea in the back of my head to use IFTTT to switch to GBoard when the device sees the physical board, and back to SwiftKey when not...
Why do I get a pound sign instead of dollar Answered2 votes 8 comments
I have speech set to uk. But the keyboard setup is English Australia. So why don't I get a dollar on the keyboard. It's very frustrating to have to type in the word dollar every time. . I don't the stupid £ sign.

Thank you so much for this forum about T9 keyboard for SwiftKey. I hope you'll make it. Much more easy to write with just one hand. Please let me know when you make it. Many people will enjoy it. In Portuguese too. Thank you.

Hindi predictions on English keyboard, is devnagri necessary?0 votes 2 comments
So, recently my SwiftKey keyboard was updated. There is a devnagri script keyboard option as well as the QWERTY English that I usually use. I use a lot of Hinglish in my messages, sure, but I'm not so happy when the English keyboard simply changes the words into devnagri. If I need to I can simply shift over using the spacebar to the devnagri script keyboard. But for the script to hijack my English posts is incongruous, inconvenient, and honestly, frustrating, especially because perfectly acceptable English words are transcribed unnecessarily and SwiftKey becomes not so swift anymore. That's not fun when I have to write emails or text messages in a professional capacity.
What can I do to make this not happen anymore? Are there settings to switch the transcriptions off? Is that possible?
[Feature Request] Favorite Emoji2 votes 2 comments
Hey I had an idea for your keyboard.
A custom emoji tab where we can add a select number of our favorite emoji for quick selection. SwiftKey is the top of the crop and this feature would enhance our typing capabilities even more. Thanks!
New poster. I hope this is in the correct place. Mods please advise if necessary :)
Keyboard Disappearing Except for Predictions0 votes 1 comment
- LG V20
- Android 7.0 (Nougat)
- Swiftkey 188.8.131.52
Twice in the past day or so, Swiftkey has suddenly minimized to just the predictions, the keyboard presumably off the bottom of the screen.
One time, I reset the phone, and that restored it. I wouldn't be here posting, but just a few minutes ago it happened again. This time I disabled and re-enabled Swiftkey and that fixed it...but if this keeps happening, I obviously will not find it worth having to do that each time.
I don't know how to reproduce this, per se. When it happens, it is that way in all apps. Both times it was initially in the AT&T default texting app, but that's probably coincidence, because it's what I use most.
There's Unused Space in the Space1 vote 1 comment
The space key takes up the space of ➍ keys but has zero functions except, ugh, space and the language switch button which doesn't seem necessary nowadays when the keyboard works in English just fine (with predictions and all) even with a foreign language keyboard always on.
It's space not very well used, is it not? My proposal is that it would get a new look and new functionality: In lieu of one, we would get four buttons which all still do work as the space button but each of them would get their unique secondary functions. One's function — tongue switch. There rest is up to you. ✌
Feature Requests - User viewable dictionary18 votes 6 comments
I use SwiftKey for years now and I've got rid of most of the weird suggestions now, but it took extremely long and I had to remove lots of words every day for many years. And still I sometimes get suggestions like
"gaucho Hagan Hitchens Cecil Barco barstool Megan yap naval brouhaha..."
that nobody needs. And that after removing thousands of words from the dictionary.
I know that the dictionary must be somewhere in SwiftKey's app data, since it has to be saved offline somewhere. But normal users can't see/edit some binary file in a protected folder, so my suggestion is:
Please make the list of words that are currently in the dictionary available to edit in some form, maybe as a text file (although I doubt it could be opened with the RAM of a phone), maybe as a list with checkboxes to delete many entries at once, maybe in another form.

I noticed that after the latest update there is no more auto space after swift, please bring it back!
[Duplicate] No space after Flowing3 votes 1 comment
after the recent update , auto spacing prediction is not working, I have to manually press space button to get the next predicted word. which makes typing slow. and it is really embarrassing.
please bring back the old settings and my keypad freezing frequently.
[Duplicate] No auto space after Flowing1 vote 5 comments
After the last update the auto spacing after predicting a word has gone. It has just destroyed all the productivity that SwiftKey had been giving to me.
No, this is not a feature for Android beta version. After the last update, this becomes a bug for me and many others that are complaining about it.
Possible bug report re onscreen keyboard with Bluetooth keyboard1 vote 8 commentsHiI have a problem with Switfkey. I've been using it for years and on my tablet I use a Bluetooth external physical keyboard. Switfkey used to detect this keyboard whenever it was connected and only showed the Predicted Text line at the bottom of the screen, which was exactly what I wanted. Last week for some reason it stopped hiding the onscreen keyboard even when the Bluetooth keyboard is connected. The SwiftKey keyboard has also stayed on top of the home screen a few times, and pressing the back key doesn't make it disappear. Is this a known bug? The details of my set up are as follows:Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7Android version: 6.0.1Swiftkey version: 184.108.40.206External keyboard: Type-S keyboard caseAny help to fix this would be greatly appreciated as this makes Switfkey almost unusable in my experience. Many thanksAngelo
[Duplicate] Auto spacing when swiping has disappeared2 votes 1 comment
Usually when I swipe on the keyboard, after I complete a word, on keyboard release, SwiftKey inserts the predicted word followed by a space.
But now it doesn't behave that way anymore: after I swiped the cursor stays attached to the predicted word and a space is inserted only after I touch the keyboard again.
How can I go back to the previous mode?
Chinese Typing lags hugely Completed0 votes 0 comments
I know it's me who's raising about this issue again. Regardless the android version, phone model, and apps, Chinese typing lags hugely while taping on the suggestion on the prediction bar. It takes one or two seconds to get the suggestion typed into the text box. It happens since the 5-language support, which means it has been 4 or 5 months. Some users and me made several reports during this time but we heard absolutely zero fix or underway news.
This feedback is also included in my report article to the team, and this should happen now, we waited for too long.
Bon courage team!

[Feature request] Extra Shortcut Clips features5 votes 3 comments
Currently I use Smart Keyboard, just because of the AutoText feature it has (= shortcut clips).
I would really like to use SwiftKey instead. And the addition of the clips is bringing it a step closer.
I have 3 feature requests:
1) Import / export
I would love the ability to be able to import (and export) the shortcuts / clips.
I want to use loads and would not like having to enter them manually one-by-one. So some import from file ability would be great. Maybe in json format or whatever.
Not being able to import is currently still a deal-breaker for me.
2) Rich text snippets
I would also like the ability to create rich text snippets. For instance to be able to use as email signatures and such.
You can copy rich text in Android and past it, where it keeps the formatting. So this should be possible I expect.
It would be awesome if we could create these in html format, which would get pasted as rich text when selected.
3) Add optional title/description field
When having long clips, the first few words will be displayed in the bar. Like: "It's a very long..."
This can be very undescriptive, especially when having multiple clips with the same starting words.
It would be nice to have an extra title/description field that would displayed in the bar instead. That field could get a character limit of - say - 20 character, so it will always get displayed in full (not truncated).
Reduced English suggestions for incorrect spellings Answered0 votes 1 comment
I've been using Swiftkey for 4 years now on two different phones. Previously when I used to type incorrect words in English swiftkey showed the suggestions for the correct spelling. I need that because I've a weak vocabulary and depend on swiftkey for the spellings. But on the other hand, i also type Bengali words in English for communicating with friends. Now i feel that the Bengali words in English are being suggested for incorrect spellings. If i make a mistake in an English word, like "swiming" or "ocupation" i dont see any suggested spellings for the correct word.
I assumed that the English form of Bengali words got stored thus deleting the original English words from the list.
Any kind of assistance regarding this matter will really help me. Thank you.

Android Email App and SwiftKey0 votes 1 comment
I'm experiencing problemas with the use of SwiftKey and Android Email App. When type an email using SwiftKey, and a notification arrives on the top of the screen, my SwiftKey keyboard moves millimeters up until the notification is dismissed.
Besides annoying, this problem leads to errors on typing.
Anyone knows how to solve it?
Disabling Facebook Emoji Predictions Answered0 votes 1 comment
just in the last couple days, and only (so far) in Facebook, when I type certain words I get a list of associated emojis that pop up automatically. I find this extremely annoying and would love to disable it. I do have the "emoji predictions" toggle turned off. Please help. Thank you.
More than 1 keyword for a clipboard text, please.0 votes 1 comment
the ability to add various keywords for a single clipboard text would be ace. The "➕" text could be input not only by writing "plus" but also "más" which is Spanish for the same word: Individuals who have dozens of clip texts can't remember the exact keywords. Further, it would be nice if you could assess special symbols, asterisks and so on, to enter clip text. That way you could enter the emoji "➕" by entering the normal "+" as well. ☺
«You could separate the keywords by using a comma or space.»
Keep up the great work, SwiftKey ninjas.
REQUEST: More intensive keyboard customization.2 votes 1 comment
Currently, the only keyboards with swiping and a deep level of functional customization are lesser known and lacking when it comes to swiping accuracy/prediction/intelligence. Examples: Ultra Keyboard, ai.type, and Multiling O.
My request is for SwiftKey to be the first major keyboard to incorporate things like top and bottom row customization (creating and mapping keys) alongside accurate swiping.
[Feature Request] Dedicated key for using search sites0 votes 3 comments
The new Gboard has a nice feature: https://youtu.be/Hj_91ntoi50
I like the idea, but I don't like, that this is only possible with Googles search. I would like to choose the search engine, that I like to use (for example DuckDuckGo).
