Using Word Flow keyboard on my iPhone 6s drives me crazy when I capitalize the first letter of a word that I want capitalized and autocorrect makes it lower case, over and over. For example if there is a word like State that I want capitalized (e.g., State Department or State Control Board), Word Flow will make it lower case. And if I type the name of a person that is also a common noun, e.g., Chip, it will lower case it. You have to try to remember to backspace to uncorrect it, but that is hit or miss and I routinely have to retype a word 3 or 4 times. So please fix this in future updates. The software should be smart enough to know if I go out of my way to capitalize something, THEN I WANT IT CAPITALIZED!

Replacing a word deletes the space before it; confused word suggestions
0 votes
0 comments
I'm not sure how else to report a bug. This has been happening for a month or few. I have the latest 2.2.2 app on iOS 11.2.2. All SwiftKey settings enabled. Repros on phone and iPad.
1. Swipe: "One two three"
> Result: "One two three "
2. Select "two"
3. Swipe: "four"
> Result depends on what app you typed in. Either "Onefour three" or "One four three "
Perhaps related, this type of in-place replacement can lead to the keyboard suggesting a word that will replace the word selected for replacement and the previous word it crashed into (first result above). It may remain confused and suggest words related to the replacement text you started entering even after tapping to place the insertion pointer elsewhere. Continues until closing the keyboard.

Please allow us to opt out of tap map

I love using your keyboard, the ability to swipe and personalized predicting words and themes but the more I use your keyboard the more I feel like I’m fighting against the tap map AI to the point where I constantly make typos and have to rely on the autocorrect to compose text. I’ve recently reverted to the factory keyboard because I find that I make less mistakes and type more efficiently. If you could please allow us to opt out of the tap map, it would be an immensely appreciated addition to your app.
Thank you

iPhone X iOS 11 keyboard disappears

I ran into a problem when I toggle the keyboard for input (open messages, email or trying to enter the address in Safari), my keyboard pops up, the Swiftkey appears for a half of a second, crashes and my standard iOS keyboard appears instead.
I tried to restart the device, added and removed Swiftkey from the list of keyboards, added new languages, changed the style of a keyboard. Nothing helped so far.
It worked for months, and I only encountered this problem last night. Is this a problem with my device only, or a known bug?

Keyboard disappearing on apps

iPhone X running latest version of iOS and latest update of SwiftKey —
From time to time, the keyboard will disappear and default to the iOS keyboard. I can see it in the list, but I cannot select it.
I have force quit the apps and even force restarted the phone. This still keeps happening. Could this be a potential bug in the latest release?

One delete tap in group text recipient field deletes two entries

Whenever I pick a recently used group of recipients for a new text message, and I only want to delete one recipients from the group, after placing the cursor key next to the recipient I want deleted, tapping on the delete key will select the person I want deleted but the subsequent tap will not only delete the recipient that was highlighted but it will also delete the next recipient in the list so that I then have to go back and re-enter that person's name/number in the group text. How can I stop SwiftKey from automatically deleting more than just the highlighted user entry? Is anyone else seeing this issue? Not seeing the issue in body of text message.

Something wrong in iOS

I'm using SwiftKey since years in iOS and android. For any reason SwiftKey in my iPad is working awuful lately and predictions are often wrong and they get inserted in my text even when I choose any other word to tap. I think it's getting less inteligent and more stupid every day. I have once and again checked configuration and it is ok. On the other hand it keeps working OK in Android.
Sugestions?
Regards
J

Swiftkey Flow glitchy iPhone SE

Hi I have problems with flow typing on iPhone SE. It's so bad at times I'm wondering if it's a hardware problem with my touchscreen. When I'm gliding through a word. For example, trying to type "Michigan" the keyboard will glitch thinking I'm picking up my finger and type two words "much and".

Number keys for iOS

I keep seeing how adding the number key functionality is not currently possible in iOS. However, I've already seen this in the Touchpad keyboard. I would really love it if SwiftKey would follow suit and add this functionality.

All-Caps Autocorrect

Swiftkey is autocorrecting words like "to", "in", "on", and "from" into All-Caps. It's incredible frustrating TO keep correcting. FOR example, I sat ON the chair FROM Ikea IN the back OF the truck.
Seems to happen when typing quickly.

The Bengali language is missing on the iOS version. I am familiar with the Swiftkey Android and interested to use the same on my iOS. Is that available or has any tricks to enable?

The results of my little experiment - Swiftkey vs. Google Keyboard
1 vote

Swiftkey sadly failed badly to learn from my swiping habits, inject the right auto-correct predictive text and continues to baffle me with insane word replacements I've never used. I've had it running on my iPhone for over 6 months now, praying it would get better as it's a nicer interface than Google's. But it never got better, smarter or quicker - just kept acting as if everyday was my first day with the product.
Oddly - Google did get smarter, better, faster and far more accurate over the same time frame. It seemingly took longer to catch up - but when it did, it crushed Swiftkey's capacity to predict my swiping - and now out performs 2 to 1 every day. I haven't necessarily given up on Swiftkey as I still use it for What'sApp - but for email and longer comms - I've switched over to Google Keyboard for good.

Hi,
has anyone managed to use this within an Intune Managed app like Outlook for iOS?
The keyboard works in all the unmanaged native apps, but doesn't show as an option with anything that is being protected

Sometimes the Swiftkey keyboard won't come up in Lastpass (and I have to use the default Apple keyboard). Other times, there will be a short delay and then it will appear. It's only in that app.

How can IOS NOT have a number row???
0 votes
4 comments
Every keyboard on all computers has a distinct number row above the letters!! What a concept!! And WHY would it be so hard to find one for an iPhone? I am an Android user with a rooted phone. I LOVE Swiftkey, so downloaded it on my new work phone, my VERY FIRST iPhone. NO number row, no cursors. I sent emails to Swiftkey, but still no number row. So thanks for suggesting Touch Pal. Still not Swiftkey, but at least I can just slide to get the numbers I need. I want it MY way!!

Problems with bad guessing

I have done something to my prediction routine and now it this keyboard is more likely to type tannibg than tanning or really ibg for anything ing. And that's just the beginning of it. It often requires me to type a word three or four times before it finally leaves it alone.
Is there any way to reset the prediction methods so it will quit guessing things that aren't words?

Swiftkey doesn't account for space at end of line in OneNote
0 votes
0 comments
I'm not sure if this is a OneNote-specific bug or not (and I realise, from a previous bug report, that OneNote can be weird). I've had the issue in other apps too, but far less consistently.
The keyboard fails to take account of the space at the end of the line if you move on to the next line and then back.
Steps to reproduce
- Use Flow mode to enter the word "test"; keyboard will insert "Test ".
- Press enter to move to next line.
- Press backspace to move back to previous line. Keyboard now shows "Test" as the current word, ignoring the space.
- Type another word using Flow (maybe "this").
- Keyboard will correct the line to "Ttest this " (with 2 Ts at the start).
The keyboard remains out of sync by 1 character with respect to the cursor's actual location until the insertion point is moved to a new line and back using touch.
Thanks for any help you can give solving this issue! (And if this is a OneNote problem, please let me know so I can file a bug report there.)
