Where does SwiftKey learn its dictionary from?0 votes 0 commentsI just tried to type the word yesterday via gesture and it came out as UTStarcom. Now I have never typed that word in my life, it is not in the English dictionary, and its Wikipedia entry is only like 2 paragraphs long. Where did this come from??? Is there a way to get rid of these types of autocorrects?
Emoji Search is terrible0 votes 0 comments
I'm not sure if anyone else is having this frustration, but SwiftKey almost never finds the emoji I'm looking for when I try to search. Examples: try "yawn" 🥱 or "mask" 😷
"remove prediction" doesn't work!2 votes 2 commentsI'm using SwiftKey 2.8.0 on iOS 13.5.1 and for some odd reason it keeps predicting "Mar" instead of "mar". I tried a few times to remove the capitalized prediction but it doesn't work and I keep getting Mar instead of mar. Any suggestions?
Feature Request: Universal search for gifs, emojis and stickers2 votes 2 commentsThis feature was requested years ago, but nothing happened. Asking again because this is the sole feature missing from this keyboard.
BÉPO, please BÉPO1 vote 0 comments
Why the IOs version is so below the Android version ???
I NEED the BÉPO layout. It is my keyboard since so many years, Azerty has become a no-brainier for me.
I very happily use Swifkey on android since 2012 and now that I have the newest Ipad pro, I have to switch to en expansive low quality app in order to have my good ergonomic, scientifically engineered layout.
How difficult could it be to add it on the IOs version ?
Thank you very much for considering it.
Chinese in iOS Answered5 votes 2 comments
I'm learning Chinese and Russian and was very happy with the SwiftKey keyboard on my Android phone as I could easily switch between the two keyboards and found them much easier to use than the native keyboard. However, since moving to an iPhone, I'm really disappointed to find that Chinese is not available in the iOS version of SwiftKey. Is there any reason for this?? Are the plans to enable it??
Many thanks for a Swift response.
Cursor Control Almost Never Activates-1 votes 0 comments
Hi, long-time Android Swiftkey user that switched to iPhone a year ago (11 Pro Max). Was thrilled when cursor control was added in, but ever since the addition, I've never gotten it to activate predictably. If I hold spacebar before typing any text, it activates properly. If I type a few characters, probably all good. But usually once I enter a word or two, a long-press does nothing. Haven't been able to find any info online about this, and none of the recent patches have changed anything. Any suggestions?
PS: I only have 1 language selected, and I have reinstalled multiple times.
Update: Upon further experimenting, it seems that hitting backspace before holding spacebar always makes it work. Hmm...
No tap map is saved0 votes 1 commentWhen i first started using swiftkey I saw my tap map but now it's gone. In the settings it says "come back to see your tap map once you used the keyboard " 🙄
Voice to text auto punctuation issue0 votes 4 comments
I'm running into a weird issue with SwiftKey voice to text on iOS (version 2.8): every time i pause momentarily it adds a period '.' as though it think i finished a sentence. I speak pretty quickly and my paragraphs are just filled with short sentences and periods. It also occasionally puts up question marks when its not a question. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a way i can disable auto punctuation on voice to text?
Punctuation key0 votes 1 comment
I have swiftkey version 2.7.8 on iPhone (ios 13.5) and ipad (ipados 13.5).
On iPhone the layout features a multipurpose punctuation key to the right of the space bar, which I find very useful. On the ipad this position is given to a second key to switch to numeric keyboard, which I do not need. How can I get the multipurpose punctuation key on ipad?
iOS 13.4.1 SwiftKey Flow not working after iPhone migration0 votes 0 comments
I've bought new iPhone SE 2. I've made synchronisation from old iPhone SE (iOS 12.4) to new iPhone SE 2 (iOS 13.4.1). SwiftKey has been automatically installed with full access and SwiftKey Flow turned on (done automatically via iOS synchronisation). When I've tried to write some word in any type of application with SwiftKey set as primary keyboard, the SwiftKey Flow seemed to have problems with gesture recognition and keyboard was shaking all the time like it can't figure out words.
Only fix that I've been able to come up was to uninstall manually SwiftKey and install from App Store and set access rights in the settings again.
Malay Language Support0 votes 0 commentsI'm Malaysian. We are at least bilingual (I speak 4 languages). Would be useful to be able to enable both Malay and English when I type as we multi-lingual peeps in Malaysia tend to type in these languages all the time.
SwiftKey simultaneous languages iOS vs. Android0 votes 0 commentsOn Android, SwiftKey allows me to select three active languages simultaneously. On iOS, that number seems limited to two. Are there any plans to change this on iOS so that it matches the Android capability?
Keyboard language0 votes 0 commentsHi dears I don't know why kurdish (sorani) not available for iPhone, while for Android is available about years, kindly add this language ASAP
Swiftkeys now showing Emoji in iOS 13 &Plus0 votes 0 comments
I have a new iphone since a few days, the Iphone 11 pro max & ios 13 was pre-installed. But when SwiftKey is installed, none of the Android 10 emoji shows up, i just have the emojis up to Android 9. Without they keyboard the emojis are showing up. A known person of mine uses SwiftKey on Fmwhatsapp in Android 10 too and her emojis are all showing up but she has a Huawei P30. Is this problem devide-specific? What can i do that the emojis will show up? I don't want to have wasted my money on the new phone, SwiftKey is the only keyboard i can deal with..
SwiftKey 2.7.8 kills physical keyboard layout settings on iOS!1 vote 0 comments
Hi, the update 2.7.8 is blocking the layout for physical connected keyboards on iOS. I have a german keyboard which only uses the english layout and I cannot change it in the system settings. with prior versions the „Automatic“ setting works great, iOS recognises the correct Layout of my original Apple Smart Keyboard Folio on my iPad Pro. If I remove the SwiftKey keyboard in the iOS settings or change my virtual keyboard to toe original Apple keyboard before I use my physical keyboard all is working normal and I can use my german keyboard with the correct layout. Any ideas how to solve this? Thanks!

Quotation mark glitch2 votes 4 commentsI've had a glitch with swiftkey where often I'll type a word, hit space, type a first quotation mark to begin to type a quote, and it will add the quotation mark to the end of my last typed word instead of after the space I just typed, and then insert a space after the quotation mark. Basically acting as if Im finishing a quoted word/phrase and typing the second quotation mark when I'm actually beginning a quoted word/phrase and typing the first quotation mark. No matter how many times I try again it won't work correctly So say I'm trying to type out: I went to the store and was like "can I get a coffee" One of these two things happen: 1. Type out I went to the coffee shop and was like+space+" > autocorrects to like+"+space > delete the space and quotation mark > try typing like+space+" again > autocorrects again > just deal with it and type out like" can I get a coffee > go back and delete the space before can > insert a space before like Or, 2. Type out I went to the coffee shop and was like+space+" > autocorrects to like+"+space > delete the space and quotation mark > try typing like+space+" again > autocorrects to like+space+"+space > have to type out like " can I get a coffee > go back and delete the space before can It doesn't happen every time, but I'd say 1 in 10 times, which is pretty annoying. Has been happening the whole time I've had swiftkey on ios (since Sept 2019), and happened before then when I had swiftkey for Android. I submitted a bug report months ago but nothing has been fixed :/ Not sure what to do here as I'd prefer to not take any troubleshooting steps that would result in swiftkey forgetting my hundreds of saved words
Changing photo themes from one to another on my iPad Pro0 votes 0 comments
Your app is great, but I can’t use it because it won’t let me change photo themes from one to another. I have several themes but as I can’t change photos I am stuck with using the same theme all the time. It is very irritating. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Flow doesn't work on my iPad mini0 votes 1 comment
I've installed SwiftKey and given it full access on my iPad mini 5th generation. But flow won't work.
I've checked every step of the installation instructions and even some things that aren't mentioned. I've compared the installation on the iPad with the installation on my iPhone, where flow does work. I've found no clues at all.
It's an iPad mini 5th generation running IOS 13.13.1 (current version).
Anyone got ideas?
Disable period key next to spacebar3 votes 4 commentsHi, love SwiftKey till the end, but almost everytime I use SwiftKey, all.my.sentences.look.like.this. The spacebar is shrinked from the right side thanks to a period being there, and I have made so many misclicks on it since I always use the right part of the spacebar to enter a space. An option to remove that period would be very welcomed. SwiftKey has literally been my go-to keyboard for like 2 years now, but no matter how long I've been with it, that period still gets in the way. Any help is appreciated.
Support for german language and layout1 vote 1 comment
I realy like SwiftKey.
It is one of the best.
I am not always typing in english somewhere on the internet, i also write texts. In german.
And for german. SwiftKey right out sucks.
It is the worst thing i ever saw.
1) It has not german layout at all.
Your popover selection window is ... horrible ... compared to real keys.
Let me show:
This is from the Apple keyboard.
But your's simply refuses to offer the proper keys!
Can you please finally fix this?
2) As a crude workaround, you offer some horribly popover menu
Now, this can only be a workaround, it is not usable for someone writing in german!
But anyway, this thing is wrongly configured for German!
If you hover over an "a" you get the pop-up, but the next key up is again the "a"!
The "ä" which you are searching for is far to the right, you need to search it in a long list.
The fix is easy: Just set the "ä" as the first character shown above your finger, when you long press!
Cannot understand why this is still not fixed.
But please don't forget: The popover is only a workaround. We still need a proper german layout as shown above!
Possible keyboard size bug after v2.7.1 upgrade: Completed2 votes 5 comments
I just upgraded to v 2.7.1 on my iPhone 5c. This resulted in the SwiftKey keyboard not filling the full width of the screen. (see screen shot below - note the gray region on the left/right edge of the keyboard).
Is it possible to fix this bug in the next release?
SwiftKey multi input Support For the Same language?-1 votes 0 comments
I want to type chinese simplified, using Pinyin AND Handwriting
To my dismay SwiftKey doesn't let me add a second typing method, it apparently only allow you to "set" one
Am I missing something here and begin dumb or is this an oversight on the development team thinking 1 input method will be enough and no one will ever need a second input method
Right now I am using like Simplified Chinese(PinYin), Traditional Chinese(Handwriting), it works but it's really annoying...
Probably going to try another keyboard app that's more versatile, dont get me wrong SwiftKey is nice and cool, but it's the little things that gets us.
IOS SwiftKey issues!!0 votes 0 comments
Hi, New to SwiftKey on iOS but the behavior seems to be odd compared to Android. It replaces words I typed with emojis and this makes typing professionally extremely hard. If I type OK with theasybibe flow it will automatically replace it with 👌🏻 or if i type moneybag it will replace it with 💰. Haven't been able to figure out how to disable it. It also doesn't seem to automatically add spaces after punctuation, thoughts?
space bar completion mode on iPhone / iOS not working0 votes 0 commentsI recently switched from Android to iPhone because third party keyboards (namely SwiftKey) are now available. However, on iPhone when I click the space bar to insert the highlighted word in the centre of the predictive space bar, it doesn't work as it did in Android. I must click the actual word in the predictive text bar. For example, in Android, you could just keep tapping the space bar and the highlighted word would be entered. I can't find the same setting in the iOS version. Is this a limitation or am I missing something?
Which version of swiftkey changed the position of the '.' [period] key?0 votes 0 comments
I updated swiftkey recently after possibly a couple of years and now the period key is slightly more to the left. This results in numerous mistakes when tyAppvn ping. I accidentally press '.' too often. I've tried to get used to it SHAREit it's been over a month and I'm still doing it.
Does anyone know which version (or when) the layout changed?
Just came from Swype and Swiftkey is absolute trash-1 votes 1 comment
I recently moved to Swiftkey from Swype because I just found out the devs have killed it off. Unfortunately the transition has been anything but smooth.
Random gibberish: if I'm in the middle of swiping a word and (god forbid) I happen to swipe the tiniest amount over the spacebar it will split whatever I'm swiping into two parts of random letters that aren't even English (or part of the intended word).
Prediction: is absolute garbage. I literally had to swipe over a word, slowly going over each individual letter before it even got close to my intended word
I swear this app used to better when I tried it years ago. What the hell happened? Am I doing something wrong or does it just now?
