Hi. After my unit was updated to Android P, when Swift keyboard is activated, the navigation bar (bottom) turns white, despite having the dark theme setted in Android. This doesn't happen with Gboard. I didn't have this issue with android 8. Am I missing a particular setting?

[Main Thread] Keyboard Letters Uneven [Known Issue] Pinned Planned8 votes 13 comments
I've used SwiftKey for years, but suddenly the keys are no longer in straight lines, but appear to be slightly raised or lowered, I assume that's where I usually hit the keys but it doesn't usually show that on my screen and I wish it wouldn't, it's very disconcerting. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't see a setting anywhere to turn it off, or understand why it happened in the first place. Unsure how to attach an image to this.
[Tutorial] How to prevent your keyboard switching from SwiftKey back to the stock keyboard Pinned Featured-2 votes 14 comments
Dear SwiftKey users,
We heard several times that some of you may run into an issue that annoys you very much: I selected SwiftKey as default input method, and it will randomly switch back to the stock (OEM) keyboard
Reason no.1 is the RAM cleaner killed SwiftKey. The solution is very easy: add SwiftKey into the white-list.
More importantly: it also could because some of the phones' OS has special RAM management and battery monitor to control the usage of each app. SwiftKey Keyboard for Android supports 5 languages at the same time, plus the Neural (AI learning) technology for predicting next words intelligently might need a bit more power from your phone. This could cause unwanted accidentally killing of SwiftKey
How to prevent it?
Well, different phones have different OS, even if they're all Android, but deeply customized. Here I list some of the phones which ran into this issue.
Samsung devices before Android Nougat update and some other close to stock android OS phones: System Settings > Battery (Power) > Battery Optimization > tap "not optimized" and select "all apps" > Find SwiftKey > Choose "Don't optimize".
Samsung device after Android Nougat (7.0+) update: System Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery > Unmonitored apps > Add apps > check SwiftKey.
Oppo smartphones: Security Center > Battery > Enable Smart power-saving mode > Power-saving app control and management > Add apps > check SwiftKey.
Xiaomi smartphones: Go to Security Tab -Permission-Auto-start management - Add auto-start apps, check SwiftKey.
Hope this little tutorial can help you. Let us know if you have any other tips or tricks to help others out

How to submit a feature request
If you've had a really good idea and want SwiftKey to hear all about it, the best way to do that is to submit it via the 'Feature Request' form here:

Ok, I know there's a translation for Klingon, which is great! However, being a HUGE Star Wars fan, is it possible to get a Galactic Basic (Aurebesh) or even better, a Mandalorian translation?
Bug on instagram stickers0 votes 1 comment
I can't use the "123" button when I typing on instagram stickers. The keyboard go in crash when I tap on the "123" button. So, is impossible for me add a user with some special characters in the nickname or put a question mark when I reply on a question stickers. Yes there is a solution and is tap on the letter and insert the special character, but why you never fix it?

[request] keyboard position with gesture0 votes 0 comments
Would it be possible to update the keyboard layout with the new change coming to phones? Just looking at my galaxy S10 plus with SwiftKey, the keyboard is positioned at the bottom without navbar, so would be great to "
Lift" it up abit.
Android kitkat crashes0 votes 0 comments
Hi everyone new here but looking for some help with android kitkat as I've tried installing several versions of SwiftKey but once I've given it permissions it just crashes out every time it is activated. My device is a Asus padfone X mini.
I also have a Asus padfone X std and SwiftKey works fine and they are pretty much the same os.
Any ideas as to what is causing this is it a memory issue as its only got 1gb of ram and has about 400mb free.
Any help appreciated.
My keyboard keeps randomly shrinking.1 vote 1 comment
I've had my s10+ with SwiftKey, set at that "Largest" keyboard setting, for about a week now and everything was working fine. Went to send a text this afternoon and all of a sudden "Largest" has become "Small". I tried clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app. None of these have worked. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

I'm coming from. Gboard to try this keyboard out. I find that I'm missing a neat feature for deleting text by pressing the delete key and swiping left to delete text quickly. Also, I liked how the normal deletion of text was smooth, unlike how SwiftKey deletes whole words at a time upon long-pressing the delete key.
Keyboard position after new android update0 votes 1 comment
After new android update we can hide the navbar and use gestures to go to home or press back.
But this changed the keyboard's position because there's no navbar at the bottom anymore.
Samsung's orginal keyboard has a space at the bottom now.
So i think an option to add space at the bottom would be good. It's annoying.
Key sounds0 votes 0 comments
Hey, everyone! I have been using the SwiftKey keyboard for a while and was wondering if it's possible to allow the users to use the default Android key sounds as the pre-loaded ones are not OK...
Impossible to delete words from dictionary0 votes 0 comments
There have been earlier posts about this without any response, as far as I can tell. It's been the case for years that it is simply impossible to delete certain words from the dictionary.. is there any work around for this? For instance, I use the word "google" as a verb relatively often, but deleting Google and retaining google is not possible. I NEVER use "u" in place of "you", nor "r" in place of "are", and delete those multiple times per day.
How in the world do I remove words from the dictionary?
Wider keys?0 votes 0 comments
Hello, I have been using on my tablet 8" so long only SwiftKey keyboard and I am 100% satisfacted with its functions and everything else. But now when I have bought new Huawei P Smart 2019 with 6,21" screen, I am now aware how tall keys can make us trouble while accurate typing. I am constantly making mistakes, because of my fat fingers 😊.
That is why I have installed now blackberry android keyboard which only have decent wide keys. But in matter of functionality and predictions, or everything else, it can't be compared with SwiftKey.
That's why I am wanted to ask, is it possible to create possibility to adjust width of the keys, not only heights, which we can for now in resizing.
You can see in this compare screenshot, what I mean. Left is SwiftKey and on the right is BlackBerry android keyboard:
Thanks in advance, Vladislav 😉

Help for disabled people1 vote 0 comments
I am writing in the name of a friend and he loves the keyboard but he needs a small feature. It can be done in minutes. His hands are shaking and you only have two options: flow or gestures. He cannot use neither. Sometimes he cannot use the keyboard at all because either words are deleting themselves (gestures) or change (flow). Please enable a 3rd option on which none of the above to be activated.
Default Vibration Not Working Answered0 votes 1 comment
The option "Use the Android default vibration" does not work on Samsung Galaxy S10+. The keyboard vibrates even when the Android setting for keyboard vibrations is turned off.
Toggle Auto-spacing1 vote 0 comments
Please add functionality to auto space punctuation. Right now swiftkey mangles my typing in a way Swype never did. For example "Paul 's alter - ego used a bit. Lysine code." instead of "Paul's alter-ego used a bit.ly short code."
Cannot remove capitalised "OK" from dictionary0 votes 0 comments
Hello! No matter how many times I try to remove "OK" in all caps from my dictionary, it always comes back immediately. I don't use '"OK" in all capitals, as it appears aggressive and jarring, no matter how correct it technically may be. I would very much appreciate being able to fully remove this from my SwiftKey dictionary as this is a daily occurrence.

Thai Language Prediction Problem0 votes 0 comments
1. Thai is a language without space between words. So the combination of typing and flowing can be troublesome, i.e. typing a completed word not in your dictionary and flowing for another word right after will force a result that only comes from your dictionary.
2. The Thai prediction dictionary is full of misspelled words.
3. Sometimes no space is required after period. Please allow user to turn off auto space. [i. e.
phonetic layout0 votes 0 comments
I need phonetic layout in "all" languages:
alif, alef, alpha MUST be on A
sin, sin, sigma MUST be on S
dal, daled, delta MUST ne on D
Why should I have to learn ten different layouts,
when ONE (plus some "strange" letter) works oerfectly well.
In linux and windows I can write my own keyboard layouts.
Please give me the possibleity to rearrange layouts
or provide phonetic layouts for QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY and others.
Accidental new lines0 votes 1 comment
I'm using SwiftKey on my S10+ with the navigation bar hidden. I think the new line (enter) key on the right is extending below the entire bottom row of keys. I'm getting accidental new lines whenever I press too low on keys such as the "123" key and the space bar. It's really annoying!
add an area option under the space button0 votes 0 comments
As a user of your product..
I have a suggestion:
With new onr UI for Samsung devices.. And with a bigger Phones.. I recommend that you add an area option under the space button to let the keyboard higher without changing the size.
It will make the thumb not going too far down to tap a space.
Samsung keyboard did add a space and it helped
