Go into Settings / General / Keyboard / Keyboards Click to edit, then remove all except Swiftkey. Worked for me and you still get your emojis when you click it in the Swiftkey keyboard.

I deleted the standard keyboard from the edit option in the list of keyboards. Swiftkey comes up every time now. Also deleted the emoji keyboard from the list, but still get emojis when I select.
