Text shortcuts
I am a busy man, efficiency is key, but I've been using the default android keyboard since time immemorial. Stubborn to make its lackluster autocorrect system work for me. Swiftkey blows that out of the water BUT there's something seemingly easy to add but essential about the keyboard that's missing from Swiftkey and had saved me a ton of time in the Samsung keyboard. You guessed it, text shortcuts. They can help me write three letters that get replaced with a paragraph of text I'd pre-written and sent a thousand times. These are non negotiable to continue using your otherwise wonderful app and I'd be more than pleased to use it in the future should that feature be added
Thank you for your time
This function actually does exist in SwiftKey! It is not as straightforward as it could be. Add clip to the clipboard then assign it a custom shortcut. Done! Works flawlessly after it took me 30 minutes to find it. 😊
I too would love to see this implemented into SwiftKey. GBoard and the Samsung keyboard has that ability.
Hi David M. have you tried the clipboard feature? You'll be able to create shortcuts, more information on how to: How does the Clipboard work with Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard for Android? – SwiftKey Support
Hope this helps.
