Dictionary won't sync
I just switched from the Galaxy S10+ to the Note 10+ and my dictionary won't sync. I see all my words are in the cloud when I look at my account data. When I force a sync it says last synced a minute ago. This is the first time this has happened when I've switched phones. I've cleared the cache, forced sync, uninstalled, reinstalled, force sync and nothing has worked. Is this a bug or am I running into some issues?
Hello, same phone switching and same problem here.
Same problem.
I'm having the same issues switched from S10+ to Note 10+ and can't get all my cloud predictions to synch with new phone
They got lots of complaints about this problem and yet they haven't done nothing. Awesome.
Same thing here. I switched from Pixel to Note 10+ and am seeing none of my personalized predictions in the keyboard, but they're all still in the cloud, thank goodness. SwiftKey, please fix this issue. It's obviously a bug.
So apparently this has been happening for 2 months and SwiftKey is unwilling to help out. I just saw all the old forum topics. I don't know why I didn't search before posting. For some reason I thought it was specific to the Note 10 since it was a new phone. It looks like the issue is server side. It's something SwiftKey needs to fix
Same problem here from S8+ to Note 10+
Please Help.

HOW TO BACKUP AND RESTORE ALL CLIPBOARD CREATED SHORTCUTS?
https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360050199451-HOW-TO-BACKUP-AND-RESTORE-ALL-CLIPBOARD-CREATED-SHORTCUTS-
AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ON THE SWIFTKEY AS A BETA USER, i still am searching for an answer on this issue,
Why doesn't Swiftkey use the cloud option to upload all the clipboard created items to 1 file and make this a downloadable file, so you can export it, edit it, and import it back again by using a cloud based environment.
Microsoft or Swiftkey didn't reply, so maybe if someone reads this from the developers, please see the issue.
Many people hope for an overview and edit file from all their shortcuts/ clipboard items.
using a cloud / drive / online opportunaty to download all created clipboard items and keep them saved on your phone, but also be able to mail these to friends or other users from the family / company / university / organisation.
This will make it possible for users to create shortcuts/ clipboard content and save and import + export these.
i asked Swiftkey for a respons on these questions : (26082019) / Tweet to Swiftkey
HOW TO BACKUP AND RESTORE ALL CLIPBOARD CREATED SHORTCUTS?
AND HOW TO OVERVIEW IT
AND HOW TO EDIT IT IN A FILE?

Had I known the issue earlier, I'd have never reset my phone to factory settings. It is too irritating to teach the keyboard again. Feels like I've wasted last 6 years teaching Swiftkey what I want to type.
Same problem... I switched from S8 to Mate 10 Pro... In cloud my data is ok, but in app no... Wasted many years training this keyboard for nothing. I go to Gboard for now
Here is the link to the tweet to SwiftKey.

Support by retweeting.
facing same issue.
Same here, let's hope they come up with a solution soon
One more. Also on Note 10 so not sure if that's part of the issue (since so many seem to have this issue when switching to that)
Found the issue, take a look here https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=it&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hdblog.it%2F2019%2F06%2F27%2Fswiftkey-android-microsoft-blocco-tastiera-privacy%2F
Same issue, moved from note 9 to 10+
Don't think the link above is the issue. That 'block' is for GMail access (back when SwiftKey allowed you to scan your Inbox to get better predictions), NOT for account login with Google (or access to app data backups). If that were the problem, you wouldn't be able to sign in to begin with, and in this case, you can, just that app data isn't being migrated.
don't stay silent. complain where everyone can see

Same here, not even complaining with 1 star at his play store site I can get an answer, so damn annoying
Same problem, I mean now SwiftKey is like any other keyboard in the store and I'm not sure if I should keep using it
Currently I've switched to Fleksy keyboard as it supports cloud sync dictionary.
Guys please share any keyboard app that support cloud sync as SwiftKey may not fix this issue any time soon. Let's find some good alternatives with cloud sync.
in many years, this is just another long period, where I'm not able to use my smartphone correctly. there was a period of 7-8 months before. when people couldn't sync. Prepare for the next SwiftKey winter
Same issue. Predictions are lost
Ok after efforts of many days I have found a work around and resolved the issue now my account is syncing.
First Uninstall previous SwiftKey keyboard, then download and install any old version app from Google and and sync your account then update the app from playstore. In my case I installed SwiftKey version 7.0.9.28.
I have tried multiple older versions but none of those synced dictionary
Same Problem.
Even tried the work around suggested by Mirza.
The funny thing is that the older version even had statics of my most used words, the amount of words in my dictionary and everything. So the data looks likes it's there, but the app just isn't utilizing it.
So frustrating.
Mirza's workaround also didn't do it for me. 🤔 now I gotta switch to Gboard...
The fact that the older version worked for a few people but not the rest is ever more curious. Evidently the problem has been going on for months..I uninstalled the standard SK and installed the Beta but that didn't work either...crazy!
it's a disaster. They laugh on everyone who bought this app back in the days and improved the dictionary for many years through all phones.
Sad but true...When it comes to Gboard, I stumbled across this page on my Google feed and found it pretty cool: https://isn.page.link/XSx1 I'm going to give it a try since Gboard data is stored by Google which is obviously no longer done with Swiftkey
