Symbols automatically enter a space?
Every time I try to enter symbols after using Flow to create a word, the symbol always automatically puts a space in between it and the word I entered before it with the Flow. For example, when I make typo errors, I like to retext the word (correctly spelled) and put an asterisk directly after it.
For example, I try to say "Family*" but when I enter the word "Family" using Flow, and I type an asterisk, it automatically puts a space between the two entrees and types "Family *".
This happens to EVERY symbol (asterisks, colons, semi-colons, and more) except quotation marks ("). No matter how I enter it, it will add in a space. It doesn't matter if I long press a letter to enter the symbol or switch to the symbol keyboard to manually enter it - it will always enter a space, and then the symbol. This always only happens after I enter a word with the Flow system (swiping to letters to create a word).
It's an extremely tedious and messy mechanic, as I tend to enter many symbols, and yet the keyboard automatically messes up the sentence with an extra space. The only symbol this tends to be useful for is dashes (-) as many times it can be nice to have spaces around the dashes in between words.
Thanks for any feedback or any fix!
I also think this feature is annoying. Developers, please make option to turn it off.
This is a HUGE peeve for me. I use dash a lot both to hyphenate words and as an em-dash in sentences, where I need to use two together. I have had to develop habits to make up for how this, and colons, operate. The way they operate with inserted spaces has no justification that I am aware of.
