New toolbar introduced, how can I hide or disable it? (2020)
RespondidaA new toolbar with many new features has been introduced (https://9to5google.com/2018/03/15/swiftkey-update-toolbar-stickers/). However I don't need it and it disrupts my workflow (buttons present in the text input, like Telegram stickers, are now 1 row more distant from text input).
How can I disable it?
Update:
Thanks for the answers and the interest.
Solution:
You can disable it by pressing the button on the left of all the words prediction, the one that you see in the picture, and it will be hidden.
Hi all,
Thank you for your feedback on the new Toolbar. I will share it with the wider SwiftKey team and it will help us to shape future product decisions.
Cheers, Matt
I do not like the new toolbar as well. It takes up way too much of my screen. I've tried finding how to disable it but haven't had any luck so far.
Came here specifically to see how to disable it. I never really used it before, and am not going to start now.
Figured it out actually. On the left side of the predictive text bar are two arrows ^v. Select those and the toolbar goes away.
I'm more interested in how to disable SOME items. I have no need for all these silly extra features. I just want my toolbar to have the clipboard, settings, and maybe the emoji shortcut. But as it is right now, I'm REQUIRED to have 5 items in that toolbar plus the "info" one which is literally impossible to remove.
New toolbar is awful. They keep adding features no one asked for and not listening to the community at all.
I don't have any arrows on my toolbar nor near it. So I'm stuck with a toolbar I absolutely don't use. I'd gotten used to using SwiftKey but now it seems I'll have to use a different keyboard that takes up less room
Any plan to fix an issue https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360056174431-Bug-with-New-Toolbar-in-One-handed-mode-SK-Beta-7-4-7-6
How can you put NEW TOOLBAR to stable version, if not even test and not even FIX BUGS what I told more then month ago hm?
I know this is old, but I am surprised that this was never addresed. I like the keyboard, but I have about half the space used by blank bars. The double arrows and select language (removed on purpose), should have options to be turned off. Larger keys would be great.
The standard keyboard with my Android Samsung had an extra toolbar that was removed in Settings. I looked and looked at all the Themes Layout etc in Swiftkey but couldn't find it. Luckily ended up here. I would vote to at least add an option in settings to hide the toolbar since those ^ hide/unhide caret arrows were not obvious from a UX standpoint.
As I've gotten older I wish the Symbols on the keyfaces could be adjusted a tiny bit larger by the user.
Overall, I love jot/swype and the themes and love that I can use a custom background image.
Hello, thank you for your feedback. At the moment, Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard only support the option to hide

the toolbar by tapping the arrows icon(below icon) and do not have the functionality to completely disable the toolbar.
We appreciate your feedback and will certainly pass your request along to our team. Thank you!
