Emoticons with flow - possible? Respondida0 votos 1 comentario
The other day, I've migrated to SwiftKey from Swype keyboard that is no longer maintained. So far, so good but one thing is bugging me greatly.
In Swype, I was able to add something like ';)' to my dictionary. Then gliding from keys where ; and ) would be available as a long-press, I was able to get that emoticon.
In Swiftkey I've got ; symbol as a long press for N and ) as a long-press for L but gliding from one letter to the other only gives me word predictions like np and no.
Is it possible at all to save emoticons (or other words with symbol) and be able to access them through flow? I am not talking about using emojis here, just plain ol' emoticons
Using Emojis Respondida0 votos 2 comentarios
When I use an emoji in a text and send it, the recipient gets Chinese symbols instead of the English text.

Set up a basic language Respondida0 votos 1 comentario
Hi, I am a user of Dutch SwiftKey. Very satisfying. Now I added an additional language = Arabic. To my great consternation, now the basic language on my phone is the Arabic one. I don't know this language, so this is a problem. For now I deleted the Arabic. What can I do to keep the Dutch as basic language and choose the Arabic when needed? Hope someone can be of help.

Why is Swiftkey asking for my location? Respondida3 votos 5 comentarios
I really like swiftkey and I've used it for years, but things like this bug me: What possible reason would SwK ask me for access to my location? How is that in any way a benefit to me? Just wondering how they justify such a request.

Cannot enter my password to unlock my phone Respondida0 votos 1 comentario
I updated my Android S7 Edge and swiftkey is not working anymore. A message says: SwifKey Clavier ne cesse de s'arrêter.
No keyboard is appearing when I am prompted to enter my password from lockscreen.
Therefore, I can't use my phone anymore. Is there a way I CAN accès to my phone?
Wrong word deletion Respondida0 votos 1 comentario
When I type a word and prediction is wrong, I have to manually delete every letter whereas the sensible option would be to just hit back once to remove the word?

Keyboard crashing (?!) Respondida0 votos 16 comentarios
I'm using ResurrectionRemix rom (5.8.5, based on Nougat 7.1.2) on OnePlus3.
After one of the latest updates the keyboard is constantly, not sure... crashing (my guess). There is no error but it frequently disappears while typing. I'm not hitting 'back' button and I'm 100% sure of this.

Cannot backup/migrate clipboard? Respondida0 votos 2 comentarios
I've got a new phone and used the cloud backup feature to migrate Swiftkey to the new phone.
My stats have been copied over, but not my preferences, including the clipboard shortcuts.
Is there any way to fix this?
I'm moving from Android 7 to 8, using Google for the backup storage.
Custom Themes keyboard Respondida1 voto 3 comentarios
I love the custom themes feature, but you need to be able to change the keypad to match. Right now the keys are just white and flat.

Swiftkey opening in Facebook without explicit focus Respondida0 votos 2 comentarios
I'm having an issue with Swifkey in the Facebook app in my Android smartphone. When I open a notification, focus is always placed on the comment box of the post and opens the keyboard without me touching on the comment box, so the keyboard covers part of the post. I don't know if this is a bug in Facebook app, the Android version I'm using or Swiftkey. I also have a tablet (Huawey Mediapad M3 8.4 with Emui 5), without this behavior. On the tablet, the keyboard only opens when I touch the comment box, which seems the correct behavior.
Device: Huawey Mate 10 Pro (BLA-L09).
OS: Emui 8.0.0 - Android 8.0 (build BLA-L09 126.96.36.199(C432)
Facebook app version: 188.8.131.52.96
Swiftkey version: 184.108.40.206
Type halfway+swipe to complete input combination broken since last update Respondida2 votos 2 comentarios
Say for example I'm typing the word 'atmosphere'
Before the last update, I was able to manually type out A, T, then continue to end the word by swiping from M through E. And the word completes.
However.. Now.. If I were to manually type A, T. Then continue to swipe the remaining letters. The A, T will end as 'at' and start a new word with the swiping input from M to E.
This is annoying as I've gotten used to using a combo of half manual type and swiping to complete typing style. It is also one of the reasons I've stuck to SwiftKey! Cos no other swipe keyboards allow this feature.
Please rectify 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Keyboard while typing giving zoom on screen serious error!
I have a LG G4 h818p gold and when typing, it soon gets zoomed in on the whole screen and the keys when typing are not the corresponding ones. The screen at the edges is orange. With the standard keyboard this does not happen.
How to "minimise" Swiftkey to see more of the page... Respondida-1 votos 4 comentarios
I’ve recently changed phones from HTC One M8 to Samsung S6, and thus from Android 6 to 7. I love SwiftKey, but obviously it takes up a fair bit of the screen – on the HTC, there was a little upside down chevron at the bottom left, which would kind of drop the SwiftKey keyboard off the bottom of the screen, and let you read everything else.
Unfortunately, on the S6 it isn't there, and it’s a real pain having to scroll a message up and down in a little window half the size of the screen to read. I THINK I’ve tried every setting I can find – has it just gone? Wish it hadn’t :-(
