Typing quirk
I experience a quirk when using SwiftKey beta (or non beta) with Talon for Android twitter client on an AOSP based nougat rom.
When quoting a tweet, the typing cursor on screen stays on the 2nd line on the very left side. It's very off-putting as I think I'm typing on that second line but the text moves to the top line when pressing space for the next word. This doesn't occur with other keyboards.
Hello,
Is it happening only in Talon app? Have you noticed somewhere else?
And, AOSP based ROM is often 3rd party, we unfortunately can't make sure SwiftKey runs stable on these ROMs.

Hi, as far as I have tested with my other apps, it's only occurred in Talon. I have tested without this quirk in the official twitter app and another 3rd party app called Flamingo.
I have also tested with two separate AOSP based nougat roms with the same result. Also tested on a different model with Aosp nougat with the same result too.
I too thought maybe it could be a bug\quirk to do with the rom itself, but I would've expected to see it in more apps. I suppose the only other apps I'm consistently typing in would be Opera browser, Google messenger, XDA Labs, Google Keep. That's not a huge list admittedly, but all work well with Swiftkey & Nougat AOSP.
Thanks :)
I forgot to mention that in AOSP Marshmallow, Swiftkey and Talon play nice together.
Thanks for the details.
It's the 1st time I hear this. I will wait a bit and look around if other users have the same issue on Talon.
Can you confirm that the AOSP ROM is the official ROM of the OEM or it was flashed and customized?

My phone is a Samsung Note 3 n9005. It's not the oem OS. It's a flashed Resurrection Remix based off Cyanogenmod/Lineage OS 14.1.
Perhaps that's also a reason.
Unfortunately we can't dig up the bugs happening in these ROMs.
