Switching and mixing German, Swedish and English does not work well for automatic detection,. I would really have the possibility to swipe the space at for switching languages!!!

Hi Dennis, thank you for your feedback. Would you be able to clarify the issue further? Do you start to write in German for example and get predictions in English?

If you have selected different layouts for your languages, you'll be able to switch layouts via the space bar.

I noticed and it works well to have different layouts so that you can switch between languages! Only thing I miss, is a keyboard with germal letter layout, could not find it anywhere (z and y are switched and keys for the letter ä, ö, ü)

And arrowkeys placed at the top of the keyboard... Now I often hit the arrows by mistake, but I really use them often too. And havig them at the top would place the other keys better.

I'm having the exact same feature request.

When all configured languages have the same keyboard layouy, there's no quick way to switch from a single language prediction and auto correct to another.

Even though the language detection works fairly well, most of the time the auto completion gives me french predictions, whereas i'm writing a message in english, as I'm mainly used to write in french.

Ultimately, I always go to the settings, disable my main language, enable english, write my message, in order to have proper prediction and auto correct, and then move back to french :/

Hi Dennis Fyrås, have you tried to use the QWERTZ (Extended) layout for your keyboard for German? This way you'll see  ä, ö, ü on your keyboard. More information on how to change your layout: https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/articles/201483582

As for the arrow keys, thank you for your feedback. If you would like to submit a feature request, you can submit it via here: https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Thank you.

Hi Guillaume Guerra, thank you for your feedback. For any prediction issue, we suggest the following to quickly restart the learning process: https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004639969. Does this help?

I am using SwiftKey Beta as my primary keyboard on ANDROID (Samsung Galaxy S8+). My style of typing on my phone, which I have used for many years, is to hold my phone in portrait mode with my left hand, and type with the index finger of my right hand. (I am also 72 years old and unlikely to learn a new style of typing.) I can type very quickly using this style.

My wife's ancestry is Russian, and, when researching her ancestry, I must frequently use the Russian language (Cyrillic) to perform searches on Russian websites. As a result, I have added the Russian language to my keyboard.

This has really slowed down my style of typing due to the placement and operation of the keyboard layout switching as a left-right or right-left "swipe" on the spacebar. When typing with my style, and pressing the space bar, my finger tends to glide across it ever so slightly, but just enough to switch the keyboard from English to a Russian, interrupting my typing because I now have to go back and switch the keyboard back to English and additionally, maybe having to delete any Russian character that I might have accidentally typed.

I see 2 possible solutions, an on/off switch or a sensitivity control for the left-right/right-left swipe of the spacebar. My preference would be a simple on/off switch for the keyboard language switch using the spacebar, (similar to the recently added switch to turn on/off cursor control).

I love the fact that pressing the translate button, followed by the swap input<>output key also switches the keyboard layout, language-wise, and would like this feature to always work, even if the keyboard language switch for the space bar was turned off.

I am open to other possible solutions if there are any that I have been unable to find.

Hi Jim Lareau, thank you for your feedback and your suggestion regarding language switching.

Currently when you use more than one language with the same layout, you'll be able to type in those languages simultaneously and when you have a different layout, you can change it via your space bar as you do now.

In the meantime, if you would like to submit a feature request, you can do this via https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
