This function highly depends on whether the app has the API for SwiftKey to learn or not. Sadly we can't control this.

But do note that this function is a one-time learning. It means SwiftKey learns from you only when you tap on it. So after a week or a month, better to re-tap on it to re-learn.

So there are only 4 apps with api keys for swift key? My email app is TypeApp.

If SK is only learning from Google, Twitter, FB & Gmail then it won't learn much as I do most of my typing withTypeApp, MS Word, WordPress, etc

If you use Gmail in TypeApp, it will learn. If it's other mail account, I'm afraid not.

For now those are all we can have. If you want more, you can submit a feature request to the team. But it does not guarantee the implementation.

I do use Gmail in TypeApp.   But it doesn't seem to be "learning" much from that.  The auto suggest/auto complete feature is really unimpressive I think.  I have to spend 2 or 3 times as much time fixing the errors as typing the original text.  And auto complete offers minimal assistance.  I'd say it suggests a correct word about 20% of the time or less.

So you've enabled Gmail account learning in SwiftKey? Have you re-tap it to relearn?

As for the "fixing errors", can you give us more specific examples?

Yes, I've enabled Gmail.  I just retapped all of the enabled apps including Gmail.  I'll give it a few more days to see if things improve.

As for errors, when I mistype a word by typing a wrong letter SK rarely offers the correct word.

Another problem is that after I type a period and add spaces before starting the next sentence it will add text I haven't typed.  It should not do this.  I've just turned off the setting which automatically adds the middle auto correct suggestion if you tap twice on the space bar.  But I always tap twice on the space bar after finishing a sentence & starting a new one.  So this setting conflicts with my own typing custom.

In that case I think your dictionary got corrupted files. I suggest you to reinstall SwiftKey after a forced backup.
