[Feature Request] Add Rusyn layout
Hello, SwiftKey team,
I am PhD. student of Rusyn (Ruthenian) literature in Slovakia and I am happy user of your SwiftKey keyboard (Slovak layout). Thanks a lot for it, I can´t imagine to use other keyboards.
You have great support of big number of languages, but I miss Rusyn keyboard there.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rusyns
Rusyn language uses cyrillic graphemes, with little bit different charset from Russian or Ukrainian (we use all of these: и, ы, і), but - the most important difference - we have different layout. I can tell that it is similar to Slovak language, but it is in cyrillic.
Here is layout of Rusyn keyboard we use on Windows:
Red line is just erasing other symbols as shift, caps lock etc. As you can see, it is different than Ukrainian / Russian layout.
Here is small charset:
ъ ш ч щ ж э ї
є ё е р т з у і о п ю я
а с д ф ґ г й к л и ь
ы х ц в б н м
and big charset:
Ъ Ш Ч Щ Ж Э Ї
Є Ё Е Р Т З У І О П Ю Я
А С Д Ф Ґ Г Й К Л И Ь
Ы Х Ц В Б Н М
It is possible for you to add Rusyn (Ruthenian) layout to Swiftkey, preferably with the same layout? I know that we will miss dictionary, but this will be so useful for our students, also for teachers so we can type our emails in Rusyn on mobile comfortably. Other symbols (@, €...) as you wish, preferably same as english/slovak layout.
I can send you a windows installer of Rusyn keyboard which we use, if you will need it.
I hope that you will write me a positive answer :)
Best regards,
Michael
As of now, it is best to submit a ticket for feature requests.
Feature has been added. Enjoy brother
Thanks SwiftKey for adding our language! We really appreciate that!
But, slovakian rusyn layout is not complete... Here in Ukraine we also use some "transitional" letters.
It would be fantastic, if you guys will add these letters in some future update!
The letters are:
Ôô Ўў Êê
Thanks!
