Why is a word I delete repeatedly predicted?
RespondidaWhen I type "god" the primary prediction is "God" but 99% of the time I am not evoking the Christian god, I am not using the word as a proper noun. I've deleted this prediction dozens and dozens of times but it's always the primary prediction, and though it does show "god" on the left prediction it means I have to press it to get it to say what I want when I should just be able to hit space and move on. Is there a fix for this?
Hi,
I just tried on my device, and here's the result:
It seems SwiftKey works fine.
My guess is that because you keep hitting the space bar (by accident) to insert the "God" word, so that SwiftKey registered you used "God" more often than "god".

I wish it worked for me. I'm not hitting space after "God". I can literally remove the capitalized god and it will come back the very next time. I can hit Shift twice to transform the capitalized god into a lower-case god, and I can select the lower-case god prediction on the left and the primary prediction is always the capitalized god.
Can you try to clear cache and data of SwiftKey? (Do a forced backup before of course)
I can confirm the same problem, with the word "I" instead. In addition to English, I have two other active languages where "i" is used a lot, but is not to be capitalized (unless in the beginning of a sentence). With SwiftKey, the capitalized one always comes back as the default option, no matter how many times I delete it.
My assumption is that you just cannot delete words that come in a language pack (even though SwiftKey says it got "successfully removed from learned words").
I have this issue as well.
I have the same issue with the word 'ok". It always automatically capitalizes both letters in the word, and no matter how many times I remove it from the dictionary (and it gives me a "removed from remembered words" message) it keeps showing up. Has anyone found a fix for this yet? I've tried adding the lowercase "ok" and despite using it more than with capital letters, it still wont show up first predicted.
I'm having the exact same problem and it is very frustrating.
I have had this issue with the word "god" in SwiftKey for years. Each time I delete it, it comes back capitalized. Even when I am speaking of the Christian god, I refuse to capitalize it because I don't wish to. I am not hitting space after, I am not doing something funny. @Alpert's answer is not accurate and he shouldn't assume people are making mistakes.
I want my dictionary edit to stick.
Same problem. I've removed it from predictions dozens of times and it's always back within a day.
Hey SwiftKey, it would be pretty cool if you fixed this ongoing persistent bug.
Having this issue with, among the others, the work "OK" which I find the most annoying because I never ever want it full capitalized.
I am switching to another keyboard since this is a known issue with SwiftKey which I find ridiculous.
It's not the best but I did find a solution that works! Just put the casing you prefer (eg. "ok") into the clipboard and set any casing of the same word as the shortcut, it should automatically override to the one you choose every time you type it :)
