Cannot connect to SwiftKey account [Solved]
Hello,
I am trying to install SK for the first time on my daughter's phone. When I try to connect/create SK account, it shows me a new window for me to choose Google account or Microsoft account.
I am trying to use Google account, a popup ask me to choose the G account, I do so and then nothing happens and the window asking me to choose G account or Microsoft is still here....
Phone : Galaxy A5 2017
Android : V 8.0.0
SK : 7.3.2.19
Please help me.
Same problem here...
Seriously? I cannot use SwiftKey without the ability to login.
What is going on?
Long ago, I paid for SwiftKey. Free is useless for a broken app. What is the fix? I've tried the suggestions here and they do not work.
I'm having the same problem on Android with the latest version of SwiftKey. Neither Google nor Microsoft sign in is working anymore and it just loops back to the sign in page. Guess it's time to start looking for a different keyboard
If none of the other suggestions work, turn off your ad blocker, anti-virus and anti-malware apps to log in. Once you've accomplished the login, you can turn everything on again.
This should not happen, Microsoft.
Hi there
Have the login in account loop problem, all the possible solutions from this topic is not working for me
This problem appeared after deleting cash of the app
Is there any other way to make login in work?
Alright, I found the issue on my side. Turns out I had a private DNS (dns.adguard.com) activated on my phone which blocked a domain necessary for the login. After using the default DNS, I was able to log in. So to everyone who still faces the issue, disable your adblocker or private DNS.
If none of the other solutions in this thread work for you, disable your ad blocker and/or anti-malware or anti-virus and/or anti-tracking apps.
Once you sign in, you can re-enable them.
I've solved the login issue. I couldn't log in no matter what I did. Then I thought of trying to turn off AdGuard on my mobile. And you can sign in at once. Therefore, I recommend for those of you who have any protection on your mobile phone, or antivirus, or an application for removing ads, to temporarily deactivate it and then try to log in. All the best.
Same problem, neither login way works. Google does a browser loop, Microsoft does this weird flashing blank screen and eventually says "sorry, too many login attempts. Try again later." even though the password is correct. I don't even have a SwiftKey account, trying to make one so I can stop the stupid notifications from popping up that tell me to login.
Having the same issue. I'm able to login to data.swiftkey.com without issues. I didn't get any age related verification. Still unable to login to my Google linked swiftkey account. That's 6-7 years worth of typing data :(
Edit::
Got this from support
Are they connected from a Private DNS setting for WiFi? If so, please try to disable it and try to sign in for troubleshooting purposes only. This might possibly blocking you from trying to access your Microsoft SwiftKey account.
Switching to data fixed my problem. I was using AdGuard DNS. You should look at your DNS maybe switch to Google DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) or 1.1.1.1 or maybe even try a VPN for the login.
I too have this problem. Like others have said, I paid for SwiftKey once upon a time. I've been happily using it on every phone. It came bundled on my Mate 20 Pro, and it was working fine. Unfortunately, I dropped it on the road yesterday and smashed it. I've just today received a replacement Mate 20 Pro from the insurance company. Now I have the loop problem that's being discussed here. It fails to authenticate. It won't log me in with Google or Microsoft. It's annoying that all of a sudden I can't access a few years worth learning.
Hi, I have tried all the solution from this article but none of them helped. I can login to data.swiftkey.com but unable to login anyhow. Tried beta version also. Authentication just go on loops endlessly. Please help or update with a solution. Thanks in advance
Edit : Disabling private dns works.
Hello Everyone!
This is weird but I could login and access my data and also use it 100%
how did it got to do this > this is by fluke i guess
1) try logging to your Microsoft account, I logged into Microsoft account with "@hotmail.com" email i use for logging into my PC
2) I couldn't login since i forgot my Hotmail password so I tried to reset my password
3) once i set up my new password, it redirected me to login page, and for some reason i got busy and didnt login
4) after a a couple of hours i returned back "frustrated" and trying to login into swift-key via Gmail auth
5) It just somehow login in and and tried to sync the settings from backup! I checked everything, all learned words and every customization is back
YAY!!!
fingers crossed!!! ;)
Try it out and tell me if it worked for you! If it worked show some love to my instagram

Hi everyone.
I don't normally comment on forums like this but I feel like I have to because of the headache this caused me and the simple fix that finally allowed me to log in.
In my new phone settings (oneplus 8 pro) when I go to Wi-Fi & network then Private DNS, I had a URL that would help with blocking ads (dns.adguard.com). Immediately after selecting the "off" option I could sign in without issue.
I read here to try disabling my ad blocker, anti-virus and anti-malware apps so I tried the above and it worked.
To be clear I was facing the same issue being described in this thread (sign in loop) and the only thing that fixed it was disabling the private DNS mode.
Hope this helps.
Hi All,
I have a new phone, but same problem here looping while logging in, even tried the beta app but the same issue. Checking the marketing box doesn't help either.
Any other option the get this app working again?
SOLVED!
The pinned comment to merely go to data.swiftkey.com and login from there did not help. What did the trick was SIGNING UP FOR NEWSLETTER about SwiftKey before hitting "login with Google". Just check the box about SwiftKey newsletter and voila!
Signing up for the newsletter doesn't work for everyone.
