Hey, I'm having the same issue after upgrading my Note 5 to Nougat, so I think it might be related to the Android update, not the keyboard itself. It's probably caused by the new DPI setting feature, SwiftKey has been known to have some issues with DPI changes. For a temporary fix, you can turn the resolution down to 1080p, although that's not ideal for obvious reasons.

    Hello,

Please share SwiftKey version number. Due to Google Play app roll-out schedule might be different for different regions, I am not sure which update you installed.

Then, please be more specific on the terms of "size" and "layout". The size means the height of the keyboard, the layout means "normal, thumb, compact". If you find it's difficult to explain, you can upload some necessary screenshots.

As for the APK file, we don't suggest to install the files not coming from Google Play. If you wish to install SwiftKey APK from other sources, however we cannot garanti the safety or the stable of your device.

@Bartek, the DPI changing of android nougat, I believe we made it compatible in October last year. Can you try a fresh install?

    Hi Bartek,

Your suggestion worked, thanks! But as you rightly pointed out, reducing the resolution to 1080p is not ideal for obvious reasons.

    Hi Alpert,

The SwiftKey version number is 6.5.5.30. I am referring to the size of the keyboard and not the layout. There are 5 possible size options, out of which I was referring to the smallest option in my original post above. Thanks.

I have the same problem since update yesterday. Version 6.6.0.22. Android 7.1.1 Smallest size takes up the bottom 70%of the screen. Reinstalled but no difference. Unusable now, as I cannot see see what I'm typing. Must find a different keyboard. Shame, I've used SwiftKey for years.

This problem is back now with the latest SwiftKey Beta 6.6.2.22, updated on June 15th 2017.  It was working fine in the previous Beta.

Any time I change the Minimum Width dpi setting in Nougat (in developer options) to a large number the keyboard becomes way too small even at the largest setting. I've had to use FancyKey because of this as it scales perfectly but I prefer SwiftKey.  This happens regardless if I use the regular or beta version.  On a rooted phone when I change the DPI in the ro.sf.lcd_density=xxx line in the build.prop and add a qemu.sf.lcd_density=xxx line then the keyboard scales fine.

I have the exact same issue of smallest setting being to big. It's fine on oreo 8.0 (Samsung galaxy note 8) but horrible and big with all the same settings configured on oreo 8.1 (Samsung galaxy note 9). Is there a fix for it? I'd rather not have to switch keyboard I loved SwiftKey.
