Grammar errors in language pack
RespondidaHello,
For Serbian language some really bad grammar was created. Any verb in future tense was incorrectly created. Example, to say "(I) will do", correct way to say it is "uradiću". However, there is quite common error made by people who weren't paying attention on primary school levels, where such persons write "uradi ću"
Unfortunately, your devs / employees taken for creating Serbian language pack were from this education group, creating the whole dictionary extra annoying. Whenever I have a new verb describing something I have to do, I'm forced to remove about 1-5 words from the dictionary.
Is there a way to handle this? I even paid for this product some time ago, when it wasn't owner by microsoft and offered absolutely free.
Cheers
Hi, thank you for your report.
Sorry for the trouble - can you please confirm the following?
What is your device model, OS and Microsoft SwiftKey version?
Which language(s) do you have enabled?
Since when have you been experiencing this issue?
Hi,thank you for answering and sorry for the late reply.
Model is: Samsung Galaxy Note Ultra 5g,
OS: Android v11 (One UI v3.1)
MS SwiftKey v: 7.7.8.4
Languages installed are: de/en/hr (combo), Srpski, Српски
I usually type on de/en/hr, but kb recognizes serbian words. However, the problem is as described in original post - a lot of badly spelled words / rules in the db. I have already removed tens of verbs, but everytime I type a new one, I have to remove new one again.
This problem has been going for a long time - years - I've been using you product for a very long time and this problem has bugged me ever since serbian words started to appear.
Cheers.
Hi DJ thank you for getting back to me.
Would you be able to share a screenshot of the example you gave for "uradiću"?
I have tried to reproduce the issue and I get "uradiću" as the middle prediction so it would be good to see the issue. Thank you.
