Staying in one language/ small motion words

Is there a way to make the feature of SwiftKey scanning multiple languages at the same time off? I have both Spanish and English keyboards available, and I manually switch between them when I want the other language. Also, the accuracy of each language is not that great because it's trying to do both, which puts a big dampener on my typing speed.

The other issue I have is with small motion words, like was or lol. These aren't getting picked up usually, and I end up with just one letter. Is there a way to turn up the sensitivity?
