The age verification is under GDPR, if user's age is under 16, we're not able to collect certain information from the user, as the result, the user cannot use full function of SwiftKey.
And why do you need full access to my emails to verify the age? I can now not even sign in into my account in the app without providing this full access to my emails.
Well, I'm being asked for quite a lot of things for age verification!
Morover - I haven't got the faintest clue why would SwiftKey require me to sign in google account (why the assumption I have it at all? no - using android doesn't mean I have to use other guano google producs!) - simply asking for providing age would be enough to be GDPR compliant!
Well, since yesterday every now and then I'm nagged with notice (instead of suggestion) that I have to verify my age, when I click "verify" it takes me to page where I have option "verify with google" then prompt to grant a couple of permissions and then it goes back to the same screen with "verify with google" and nothing happens.
In principle it looks like it requires google account from my perspective.
Let's see, to verify someone's age, you have to ask for some official document as they do, for example, banks. Google is nobody for this, and anyone can lie with the age in the Google account. You can trust Google for many things but not for anyone's age.

No, SwiftKey doesn't require full access of your email to use, it needs this access only when you need personalisation of Gmail.
Hi Alpert,
this is not true for at least the iPhone App. Even when just selecting "sign in to account" "using google" I'm asked to grant access to all e-mails.
Sorry I only now realized that this is the Android forum, if you're interested nevertheless I can e-mail you a screenshot. To which address?

In this case you'll need to write a post in iOS section.

Also: it doesn't work!
Sign-in with Google account has nothing to do with age verification under GDPR.

I have no idea of it. Since I signed in with Google.
