I downloaded and tried a few themes. I would like to have my favorite themes listed in the "YOURS" tab. However, all the themes I have tried are listed there which makes it very confusing.
Is there a way to remove the unwanted theme in the "YOURS" tab? I have seen in other post that I should uninstall Swiftkey and re-install again. This is not a convenient solution because this will still list all the junk themes from the premium pack and alll free thems I got under my account before the themes were free.
If there is no way, may I suggest a feature?
1) Rename the tab name from "YOURS" to Favorite
2) Add an option to remove a them from the Favorite section.
Thanks in advance
On my LG G5 keyboard in landscape mode, one hand and undocked is very small.
Android 7.0
SwiftKey Beta 6.5.7.21
Greetings,
I've recently switched to Swiftkey because I'm having some problems with Gboard. The one major thing I miss from that, however, is its wonderfully simple and intuitive 'gesture delete' function. You should really, REALLY check it out to see why it's so much better than just pressing and holding the del key and hoping you can release it in time to avoid deleting more than you wanted to. This is particularly important on a system like Android that doesn't offer any ctrl-z type undo options. All you do is swipe left off the del key until the text you want to delete is highlighted, then release to perform the delete. If you swipe too far you just have to slide back towards the del key a bit first. Simple!
I also find it mightily frustrating that the last word entered by flow typing can't be deleted with a single tap on the del key. That's how every other 'swipe' type keyboard app I've tried works and it seems pretty obvious to me it's how it should be. I realize this has been asked before and rejected, but I'd urge you to reconsider and at least make it an option.
Hello - Within the last couple of updates of the Swiftkey Beta app, underlined text has begun appearing in the predictions bar at times while I'm typing. I just switched back to the Swiftkey app and this underline does not appear ever so it doesn't appear to be a system-wide phone issue. What is this underline? I find this incredibly annoying, especially because there doesn't appear to be any discernible use for it. I just typed 'Is' and it was underlined. If this is going to be added to the regular app going forward, could we also get an option to turn it off? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
How do you make a line break
I've been using Swiftkey for as long as I can remember and really like the app. But when I switched to the Oneplus 3T recently I noticed some lag when swiping the "period"-button to make either a questionmark or an exclamation mark. I've tried both the beta app and the regular one and both are the same. Does anyone notice the same thing? It works fine with all my other phones.
It's not a terrible lag, but still noticable and pretty annyoing.
Any tips for me?
I found this link https://vip.swiftkey.com/index.php?/topic/16888-swiftkey-lagging-update-64478-needs-more-info/#comment-87491 but couldn't find any more. That's the exact same issue as I have.
Hi,
with the microsoft outlook Android app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&hl=en
Swiftkey (happens with both the normal and beta versions) starts lagging horribly. i.e., you need to wait a really long time (a few seconds) for any key to appear on the screen. scrolling is slow and everything is slow. it feels like the phone has locked up. everything is back to normal once I kill outlook. It's fine with the stock samsung keyboard btw.
I'm running this on a samsung S7 with android 6.0.1. stock firmware supplied by my carrier. firmware version is g935Fxxu1cpl1 baseband version is g935fxxu1cpl2
Thanks,
Raj
Is it possible to have SwiftKey *not* remove the preceding space when an underscore is being inserted?
This issue (along with a few others) was raised as far as December 2014. Unfortunately, it hasn't received attention from the developers.
It's rather frustrating having to go back through typed text to correct things from
"It_should_ be fixed immediately" to "it _should_ be fixed immediately".
Ordinarily it wouldn't be a problem if you could simply backspace and correct it. However, fixing this 'typo' requires a careful placement of the caret (which isn't at all easy) then inserting a space and then moving to the end of the line to continue with the text.
This slows text input especially when writing formatted text on WhatsApp and Telegram, both of which use the underscore for formatting.
Neural network only seems to work for predictions? Not autocorrect? Is this accurate? If so, why not enable it for both? Thanks.
Hello,
I'm using SwiftKey v6.5.3.35 on a Xiaomi Mi5s with MIUI 8.2.2.0 Global Stable on top of Android 6.0.1. I'm using it with the default font. I also had this issue with various phones and roms like Cyanogenmod, Touchwiz, etc.
This is a message (marked in blue) which I typed in Sinhala using Swiftkey
And this is the message which my friend got (iPhone 7 with iOS 10)
Some letters have errors in iOS. I saw this problem in other iOS versions as well. No matter what Swiftkey version, Android version or iOS version this problem remains with SInhala language.
When I typed the same message with Google Keyboard and Helakuru (another 3rd party keyboard specially for Sinhala typing) it was perfect.
I think the problem is with the typing method of Swiftkey. Both other keyboards use a different method. Hope you guys can fix this it would be great.
Thanks
I just changed my phone from Huawei to Samsung, where Huawei got preinstalled Swiftkey. I wanted now to change Samsung's default keyboard with Swiftkey so I downloaded it from Google Play. I changed my default keyboard for it in phone settings and everything seems to work fine but Swiftkey keeps showing me notifications (in taskbar and as toast notification) about full functionality of Swiftkey will be after finishing the installation process.
Please deactivate automatic spacing after typing a dot, or add an option to NOT insert a space (" ") after typing a dot/period ("."). It is very annoying, as the dot is a common character in any text field or text area (think input fields and text editors, not just web addresses, code editors and alike).
Although this issue has been reported several times, there's still no reaction from SwiftKey/Microsoft for SEVERAL YEARS. Maybe the issue is not tracked anymore as it is associated with a "permanently deleted user".
First of all sorry for my english (it's not my natural language) I found a lot of similar issues report but can't resolve my problem. I have been using swiftkey for years and is the first time I have problem. I had buy a new phone (Xiaomi MI A2 Lite) and had installed swiftkey like always but when I try to login to my account in the screen that let you choose between Gmail and microsoft I choose gmail then I select my gmail account and the app goes back to the screen that that let you choose between Gmail and microsoft and if I choose again, goes back again and again. Any ideas??
Thanks in advance
I recently switched to the Samsung Note 10+. I downloaded SwiftKey (as I have for years) but the size of the keyboard is too large. I try to adjust the size in the settings but I can't get it any smaller (it almost takes up half the screen). I'm not sure if others are having this issue or if it is something that may get fixed in a future update.
Hi, so I have my previous phone, that I've used for a long time. So I have many prediction words that I use there. Now I have a new phone, I logged in the same account, but it is not syncing with my data from that phone
Why SwiftKey is not predicting the words which are already in my SwiftKey user database.
Hi all,
I just performed a factory reset on my Huawei P30 Pro, and now all my word predictions are gone. I've tried all SwiftKey's troubleshooting advice, and backing up the app on my old iPhone, where all my predictions are working, then syncing on the Huawei, but still no luck. All is gone.
Do any of you experience the same issue? And does anyone have a solution? I've never had this problem when resetting my iPhone, and I'm quite disappointed right now.
Hope to hear from you.
I had a Xiaomi redemi Note 5
and now have a Xiaomi redemi Note 6 pro (new phone)
I have installed Swiftkey on my new phone
However my Personalised Prediction or Personalised dictionary does not predict
Under account , in Swiftkey setting, I can see my gmail address as expected
Cloud Predictions is ON
Is there a way to get my Personalised Prediction to predict
perhaps , is there a "dictionary " file, I can copy from old phone to new phone
Thanks
1. On Android it seems to force a fullscreen keyboard in apps such as Whatsapp (making typing replies impossible) but not in others (such as Chrome) where context is less important.
How do you fix this bug?
2. On fullscreen keyboard in landscape mode, the keyboard won't stay where you want it and instead will only go to the far left or far right.
This only occurs in landscape and fullscreen.
Again, how can I disable this and have it where I have specified?
Just that. The keyboard has the Y Low-left.
This is a problem
Hi,
I would like to ask for you. I updated to Pie,my (Galaxy Note 8) phone. Ever since the swiftkey is useless. Pops up, but the letters are invisible. I trier the theme change, and reinstall. Please , we find a solution.
Thanks in advanced.
I only find full pinyin method in this software, can you add "双拼输入法"(double spelling pinyin), like what on windows10

I wanted to know if you have a solution to this, which generates this problem, otherwise I will have to uninstall the app. Hugs.
Hello,
I have a really annoying bug in the last version of Swiftkey. When I type the "123" key (low-left, to access the menu) then the "?" key on the upper-right of the keyboard, it presses the low-right key ("Enter").
That's really annoying and makes me send messages by mistake in apps like Instagram or Snapchat.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?
Thank you!
