    Same here..it appears to download the them but when you click on the "circle" it goes back to the dark keyboard!

    Ran into this yesterday. Using a Samsung S9 and Android 9 Pie.
    Seems the problem is still there?

    Clearing the cache and data, then uninstalling, then installing and not changing the theme seems to have been the workaround as basically stated earlier.

    However, the gray-black default theme isn't very whoopee if you get my meaning...
