Google+ comments - Fixed by Google+ update
TerminéeMy keyboard stopped showing word suggestions in Google + comments a few minutes ago. It works fine when creating a post and everywhere else, but I but not when adding comments. I tried rebooting, force stopping and clearing the cache, but no go. What happened?
Glad to know that I'm not alone.
This started after a SwiftKey update today, but not on all devices. It affects both of my Galaxy A6 tablets but not my SGS7 phone.
The Problem is also at LG g6. That sucks!
I have the same issue with my Huawei Mate 8 device when I reply to posts on G+
me too, only in Google plus ➕
Meu teclado SwiftKey está dando erro no Google + não gera opções de palavras nem o enter pode ser utilizado. Por gentileza verifiquem esse bug.
I'm experiencing the same problem, apparently only in G+.
Me too, LG v20. Works fine everywhere else.
Same here. Samsung S7.
Perhaps coincidence, perhaps related: a G+ update made that same day also broke word-wrapping in g+ comments for many devices (including the ones where SwiftKey is misbehaving for me). (Edit: reportedly also affects some devices with different keyboard software.) In the G+ comment fields, SwiftKey is also not capitalizing tue first word, which is weird (it does so in all (almost?) other text fields).
The lack of word wrap occurs when the swiftkey beta is used in g+. Samsung Keyboard seems to do everything well. It is perhaps that swiftkey considers the comments section to be a password text field. Hence no predictions or autospace
An online colleague of mine using his (unspecified) phone's default keyboard is also missing wordwrap since that G+ update - i don't think it's specific to SwiftKey. (When i asked him if he was using SwiftKey, he didn't know what i was talking about.)
Hmmm, 5 days since I reported this issue directly and no fix? I have switched over to Gboard and while it has word wrap issues, it's better than no predictions at all. I get that it's probably a G+ update that caused it, but I expect a faster response than this.
This didn't affect my SGS7 phone until today after updating G+. So the culprit is apparently not actually SwiftKey, but G+. Or a mis-interaction between the two.
Same issue here with g+
Ok, here is what I've done. I uninstalled G+, downloaded an older version of G+ from here and installed it, and guess what? It works like a charm! The bug is in G+ and not in SwiftKey https://www.apkmonk.com/download-app/com.google.android.apps.plus/4_com.google.android.apps.plus_2018-07-17.apk/
@Anoni you do know that posting links to apk is against community guidelines. Right? Nevertheless, the problem is with g+. But another keyboards seem to do well with the comments section (Samsung Keyboard, gboard). So the problem is indeed with the interaction between the two of swiftkey and how g+ defines its comments section. Swiftkey now thinks that the comment section is a password field.
i saw one report on G+ which demonstrated, with a screenshot, that the Google keyboard is also affected by the lack of word-wrap and inability to add newlines to comments, at least on some devices.
Same problem on my Nokia 7+. running Android 8.1.0 (July 1 patch)
Today's g+ update fixes it.
Today's g+ update fixes it.
confirmed
This post is good enough to get someone to understand this great thing, and I'm sure people will appreciate these interesting things apkxyz
I have never had this issue and I'm using the beta right now...?
