Wierd typo in Gpay
RéponduI have been using SwiftKey keyboard for a long time but recently I have encountered a wierd error in SwiftKey keyboard while trying to make payments using Gpay. It keeps inputting random numbers when I try to enter any amount... Very difficult to correct it too.

I have been using Xiaomi K20 Pro for over a year. Latest android 10 updated, latest security patch updated on my handset.
7.6.9.7 is the version of swiftkey I have on my phone (I guess this is the last updated version)
This issue of random numbers coming when I try to make payments or cursor simply disappearing while typing is a serious pain.
I don't get any problem while using Gboard keyboard. So everytime I have to use Google pay, I have to change the keyboard
I am facing the same issue after the latest gpay update. When i type 1234, numbers appear randomly like 11213345 and when i press erase key more random numbers appear.. If i use other keybord (e. g. Gboard) there is no problem.. This seems to be swiftkey issue.. Please resolve
Hi Milapsingh Heero thank you for the information. I will check with our team and get back to you.
Hi mash chat - What is your device model and OS?
Which version of the Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard are you using?
Thanks!
Version 2.120.344959027 is my g pay
Version 7.7.0.4 is my typing app
same issue. the keyboard is either crashing when the gpay suggestions appear or swapping my numbers around in the dates for my credit card. I force stopped everything, reset my phone and discovered that it's definitely your app as I was finally able to make my payment after changing to the google keypad.
Please contact me when this is corrected.
Thanks
Ps. I am using a Pixel 4a, version 11
Hi Jessica Ratté thanks for the information. I've passed it on for further investigation. Our team is looking into this. Currently it looks like an update with GooglePay however I'll be able to provide more information once I hear back.
Hello,
I am also facing this issue on Google Pay version 126.1.5 on Samsung A51(Android).
SwiftKey version: 7.7.7.7
After the first digit, further digits are not seen in the input box, but are detected in the suggestion panel on keyboard.
The issue went away when switched to GBoard.
Probably the numeric characters are sent as non-numeric and hence the input box does not detect them?
Thanks,
-Sachin
Hi Sachin Powar for us to investigate further, can you submit a video of the issue via https://aka.ms/sk-support? Thanks.
I'm facing the same issue across all my devices, including note 10+ with updated version of both apps.
The issue should easily be reproducible while testing..
It be great if the developers make an effort to investigate this and fix asap.
Gpay is becoming a necessity and may significantly impact usage of SwiftKey as people would very frequently shift to other keyboards to make payments.
Hi Ishan Sharma thank you for the information.
What is your device model and OS? Which version of Gpay are you using?
Which version of the Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard are you using?
Yes, indeed.
I have been facing the same issue. The numbers tapped on SwiftKey get reflected on the suggestion strip, but not in the payment box. Sometimes random numbers come up too. Clicking on delete updates the suggestion strip, but clicking on suggested number doesn't update the payment value.
All I remember is, this is happening since GPay got the dark mode update in India. The issue is possibly occurring because of suggestions strip of SwiftKey since Gboard doesn't show one whike making payment.
Device - Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro running Android 11
Google Pay Beta Version - 126.1.5
SwiftKey versions - 7.7.8.4 and Beta Version 7.7.9.2
Hi Ajinkya Pokharkar thanks so much for the information. Please submit the issue via https://aka.ms/sk-support

I face a similar issue... When using SwiftKey in Gpay, I am never allowed to type the 3rd digit in the first go. I have to go back and retry 3, 4 times to finally get it right. Really frustrating when the grocery store guy is staring at me waiting.
